Hi ,

I am excited about the new job options that are being opened for you

and your girls. I will be praying that we read a good news post soon

about the jobs being officially offered!!! :-)

after. Being a cashier is tough work, plus being a student. I hope the

Good News

Hi All,

Well, Krystal is doing so so on the Celebrex. She goes back to the

rhuemy next week. The good news is that we both applied at the post

office, passed the entrance and typing exams so do the pre-orientation

Saturday and the interview process begins Tuesday, Mar 1.

The good news is that if Krystal gets this job, she will do far

better. It's encoding--computer work inside heated/cooled building.

This will do wonders for her. I had concerns about how she would do

being on the computer full time. She hasn't been having problems with

typing or with length of time using the keyboard, so this may work out

very well for her should she get one of the 1000 encoding jobs

available. It may be a job she can keep during the remainder of her

college, and after if she can't immediately find a job in her chosen

major (astrophysics).

In addition, my older daughter applied a day or two after, so she is

in a different testing group. Should she get one of the jobs, this would

be wonderful for her as she has birth defects in her legs resulting in

several surgeries. The doctor has constantly recommended a sit down job

with computer work to alleviate the strain on her legs and possibility

of throwing the surgical corrections out of whack. If she can get one

of those jobs, it would be ideal until she completes her accounting

degree.

Krystal's dr said that this type of work would be ideal for her

because of the jra and fibro--it may also allow the Celebrex to work

better as the job would take out the physical labor of her current job.

Her current employer has reduced her job to basically a cashier and is

good about allowing her usage of a chair, but she still has physical

movement--bending, squatting, lifting, etc--with the cleaning aspects of

It's encoding--computer work inside heated/cooled building. This will do

I am glad that Aundrea is finally feeling better.. I hope the drug combo

continues to work for her.. My dad had a sinus infection like that over

christmas and it took two rounds of antibiotics and about 6-8 weeks to get

over.. I hope you feel better soon..

good news

Hi everyone,

I thought I would just a give a quick good news report on Aundrea.

She has been on the mtx/plaquenil combo for about 8 weeks now. After

week 3 of mtx we really saw significant improvement.

Other than her daily rash you wouldn't suspect that she even has jra.

In the past 5 weeks she has only had one day of joint pain in knee and

wrist and a couple days of stiffness.

I got all of her labs back the other day and they look great too.

Hopefully, this will lead to remission! I guess it will be quite some

time before we do any kind of taper, but I am just thankful that for

today things are going well for her.

As for me, I am still fighting this infection. My cold turned into a

sinus infection. Its been nearly 6 weeks now. I am starting round

two of antibiotics...I haven't been able to breathe out of my left

nostril for weeks now and waking up every morning with a severe

headache on the left side of my head/face has turned me into a bit

of a grouch...Good news is that dispite all of the viruses going

around, Aundrea has remained surprisingly healthy.

God Bless,

Hi Emilie,

Well, at least I know I am not the only one with this sinusitis

sticking around for 6 weeks. I sure hope my second round of

antibiotics will do the trick for me. I am just so run down and would

love to have some energy again.

I am so thankful that all this illness has so far by-passed Aundrea.

I am off to the doctor now to have my sons sore throat checked out.

I sure hope its not strep! UGH where is spring anyway!!!

take care,

Spring is not soon enough in my opinion.. has been fighting a

respiratory thing now since last Saturday. We were in NH visiting my mom and a

call to her pedi said that he thought it was viral and called in a script for a

cough supressant for her. Well she's till got it and we were supposed to go to

the docs today, but with 8 inches of snow on the ground and more coming, we

postponed the appt until tomorrow.. I am really glad that drea is doing well..

That's super that the drug combo is heading Aundrea in the right

direction!!!!!! As far as sinus infections go, I can empathize -- I

go through that about every 6 months. Yuck.

Hi Terri,

I haven't had the ct done yet but the doctors have mentioned it and I

am sure that will be the next step. My insurance has a high

deductible so I was hoping to keep my cost down and just kick this

bug to the curb.

I am going to try a few more tips that gave me, but if things

don't improve within the next week I will definately have to proceed

with the x-rays and surgery if necesary. Just seems like one good

nose blow would do the trick, but all that did was pop my ears! :-(

Boy, I sure hope that Aubrey and don't have any more problems

with sinus infections. They sure are miserable!

Thats is great news Marge. I do sympathise with the sacroilliac

problems-I had that pre-THR and it was worse than the hip. Its

Thankfully gone for me now. This might sound weird but have you tried

accupuncture for it? I was a total skeptic and was amazed.

Appartantly it either helps at the first treatment then you know

whether you are susceptible to accupuncture. If it does't give any

pain relief the first time then dont waste the money.

I promise to splash for ya. I will say that being

around water still makes me nervous though. How do I

know he's right? I mean my ear is a tumor growing

farm I must say. Part of me is skeptical and expects

another surgery so I think what harm could I possibly

do, we'll fix it the next go around. I don't think

that is good thinking though.

Congrats!! Let us all know how it goes! I took my

first shower today without an earplug and I felt like

I was living on the edge..hehe! I have 1 more month

until I am allowed to swim too.

Bummer,

I will be moving from FL on the 8th of July to

Washington State (not to Seattle). We have been

getting a significant amount of rain. The usual

pattern is daily shower bout 3:30pm each afternoon,

but we had a carribean pressure that cause 4 days of

rain one week and then some more the following week.

That is gone now.

You do realize you will be visiting during hurricane

season don't you?
