I've tried natural versions like borax, baking powder and seventh generation and they do not work. +++Hi Colleen, Sometimes you have to " pick your battles. " It is claimed that toxic detergents leave residues on the dishes which can transfer into foods. However, dishwashers do a great job of rinsing dishes so I wouldn't be concerned. I don't know if Jet Dry sprays on during the rinse cycle since I do not have a dishwasher. If it does, it shouldn't be used since it is less likely to be rinsed off. Guest guest
I don't put my dishes in dirty, then I can run a shorter cycle and I don't have to worry as much about the gases made from chlorine and food mixing.
