Guest guest
Sorry Loreen, Ihad to laugh out loud because this reminded me of the story when I first told a patient to go bed wearing PJs soaked in castor oil. It was a woman who had a lot of musculo-skeletal pains. I had tried several things and then "tongue in cheek" suggested she sleep in CO PJ's (not expecting she would). But she did and the next morning she got up and said she had NO M-S pain which continued to not be a problem after that. So on several occasions I have recommended CO PJs and the patient has done it. you cover the sheets with a plastic sheet but it is still a mess. DT" Sorry for my lack of knowledge, but what on earth are castor oil pajamas?
Guest guest
After 10,000+ patients that I recommended this to over the last 15+ years, there is a resounding higher success rate OVER time with the accomplishment of the goals when you use a PACK, vs. just massaging it on the abdomen. It gets absorbed and if that is your goal, then it works. But is that all there is to the effectiveness of a COP? Dick Thom Beaverton, OR cancer, AI Dr. Thom and other COP devotees I noticed in the UNDA drainage book (by Dr. Thom) it says that rubbing castor oil onto the abdomen is less effective than using the pack. I tried this, left the oil on all night, by morning it was all absorbed. It seemed like it worked, and was certainly easier than the pack. Why is this considered less effective? Guest guest
Go to curezone.com for more on this (or Google it). While NOT traditional foods related directly, I can say that personally the castor oil packs were a HUGE part of my recovery from a gallstone affliction I had in 2003 which was caused (in part) by not eating properly! So, in my case, this was a food related topic. I also used the packs to recover from serious knee trauma. An old folk remedy, popularized by Dr Edgar Cayce in the early part of the 20th century, the castor oil packs, along with lots of heat, will draw and pull inflammation, pain, toxins and blockages out of the body. No one knows how this topical treatment can be so powerful to deep internal joints and organs. I highly recommend this treatment plan. You can get all sorts of good castor oils from any health food store. I usually used the generic, but I've also got some expensive red oil from Turkey. You soak a washcloth or rag in the oil, put it over the afflicted area, cover it with saran wrap and apply a red-hot water bottle or heating pad and use it for 20-30 minutes 1-3 times a day as needed. It's a bit messy. The rag can be stored in a plastic bag and reused over and over, no need to change the oil. Will

Guest guest
Hi Tina, I just put in an order for the castor oil pack, Radial appliance etc. to use on my son. Its good to see you have seen positive effects from this. I want to order the passion flower infusion but didn't know how much to give my son. How much do you give your son? My son is 4yrs old and autistic. I wonder if its okay to somehow do the castor oil pack and the radial appliance while he is sleeping because I really don't know how I will be able to do it. I will get it done somehow though. Guest guest
Hello Jackie. As I said,I`ve done the packs about 5 times now.The first time,I had to hold him down. Now,he willingly, lets me do it,and sometimes falls asleep.I`ve been doing it before bedtime.I still havn`t tried the Radial Appliance yet.As for the pasion flower fusion,I give 1 teaspoon after meals.I can`t give it at school,so,he`s been getting twice a day.Maybe for a 4 year old, maybe half that dose.I also, have my son on a special diet, and give nutritional supps. He is 14,so,it`s hard for me to hold him down,do do this,if my husband isn`t here.He is still small for his age,but still,he is strong.I`m dreading, having to fight with him,the first time,to do the radial appliance.I`m sure,if it makes him feel better,he will be cooperative.I also want to try and do the packs,on his neck, and back.I will probably have to fight with him,the first time,as he doesn`t like to lay on his belly.I also have some massage oils,I havn`t tried yet.Good luck.Tina From: jjshenkir <jacjoys@...>Subject: Re: Castor oil packs Date: Wednesday, January 28, 2009, 2:16 PM Hi Tina,I just put in an order for the castor oil pack, Radial appliance etc. to use on my son. I would be skeptical too of a book that reads from beginning to end like an infomercial for Edgar Cayce and claims to have something that cures just about everything. As to why it works, I do see reasons it could for some people. The first is the hot water bottle. Others have reported that a heating pad or such helped them with the pain from spasms. Likewise some people find relief with warm drinks. Another possibility is that the time spent each day doing this is relaxing and works as a stress buster. Many have report that reducing stress makes a difference. One could try substituting another oil, such as olive oil, for the castor oil to see if it makes a difference. Then there is the castor oil. It is widely held to be anti-inflammatory and to have some effect on pain, but I find it hard to find much science to back up the claims. The studies I do find are inconsistent. The main ingredient in castor oil does penetrate the skin and is an effective agent for transporting other substances through the skin, so much of the oil could be absorbed. Achalasia is thought to involve an inflammatory process. If the oil is an anti-inflammatory it could be part of what is happening. Many inflammatory processes are made worse by stress, so the oil combined with the relaxation of the process and the soothing heat from the bottle may be an effective combination. Just a maybe, but I don't see that it would hurt to try it. Castor oil is generally considered safe. Just don't swallow large amounts of it. For a report on the safety of it in cosmetics (it is widely used in cosmetics) see: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/18080873 In the report you can get an idea of how inconsistent the science on it is. notan

It is an irritant to the small intestines, which is what makes it a laxative. I would think that any laxative would interfere with absorption and being an intestinal irritant could make it even worse. Don't take it with other medications because you could end up flushing the meds right through you. I would guess none of this matters for using it with hot packs. Like I said before, don't swallow too much. For the purposes related to the support group there probably isn't a need to swallow any of it. notan

I don't think they help get rid of parasites, but they can help the bowels, the liver, or be put over the uterus, etc. Here's my article on it: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/pack.php If you want to know what I recommend, or don't recommend, you can do a search on my website.
