hi - my son Josiah is taking depakote. I am wondering

if anyone has a success story involving this drug. I

worry about the liver effects- which I don't really

understand- what is the deal with elevated liver

enzymes anyways? Would love to hear from anyone with

any experience with this drug- thanks elise.

Hi Elise, my son was on depakote for less than a month or so, and he

would barely eat,

so we got him off of it quickly, and had been told about liver damage. Day 3

no seizures! Don

Depakote was mainly to blame for my daughter going into a 6 hour seizure

earlier this year. Since February when we got her off the drug, she has

had no grand mals and her other seizure activity is almost nill.
