Eliminate Wheat & Gluten; Add Cataplex F & Calcium Lactate

Dr.Bruce West,MD who I regard very highly had an interesting article in his

newsletter Health Alert for October 2003. The article is titled

" Seizures,Shakes, Tremors and Gluten. " He notes that in some cases of childhood

epilepsy,

nothing short of an Atkins-style low carbohydrate, high protein and fat diet

can

stop the seizures, even anticonvulsant drugs. He then observes that this

diet, by limiting carbohydrates in general basically eliminates wheat and

gluten.

He observes that dramatic relief can take place in a matter of days, although

neurological problems

usually take longer for nutritional changes to see results. He suggests

elimonation of wheat and gluten (wheat,barley,oats,beans and legumes) for 30

days.

even if the neurological problem is not resolved, it will almost assuredly

help some other health condition. This is " essential for infants and young kids

with epilepsy. " He also recommends to include two supplements from Standard

Process Laboratories. Cataplex F ,1-2 per meal and Calcium Lactate 2-4 per meal.
