Guest guest
Hello all, I'm new to the list and would like for my experience here to be an informative one. So far it seems as if I stepped into a " meow " fight. I thought we were here to share information and heal ourselves from whatever ails us. I don't know what the situation is, but I know " Santa " will take care of those who are nice and who aren't : ) Our opinions is just that our opinions and doesn't necessarily reflect the views of the station. One point is clear, we are trying to eliminate the stress in our lives by becoming healthier individuals and can't do it if we decide to bicker amongst ourselves. Since being on the interent, I've realize that words cut more on a screen than in face to face conversation due to lack of facial expression, which does not mean that we should forget that there is a person behind the words. We should all try to remember if we are " nice " face to face than it is that personality that will shine through out here. Have a great day all! The dr. wants to do a heavy antibiotic therapy on her. I went to the health food store first to see what options for therapy there are. Tried some stuff that tasted like black licorice and bile mixed. She cant handle chewing it. ANY suggestions welcome. Thanks Judy

Many > thanks, Carole >> I am the one who posted this question as Dr. Shaw had recommended to me that we use glutathion with our 8 year old son who had the OAT done also. He was high in citric acid and I had just joined this group and read where merc. also affects the glutathione level. I was very interested in this a wondered what the connection was. Andy Cutler responded, saying that while it helped some people, it could also not be beneficial as mercury uses it, so you could also make the situation worse. I am not sure when Andy responded--he gave a rather detailed explanation. At any rate, we did not use it as a supplement, and we just began chelating today. Do a search for glutathione and it should appear sometime after June 8th, that's when I spoke with Dr. Shaw. It was a little while after that, because I actually bought the glutathione first, then hesitated. We may at some point use it, but Andy's response made me feel uneasy. I don't mind trying new helpful things, but this was iffy and I wasn't about to take any chances. It does make me think that somehow this is all connected. We started this by going on the gfcf diet, now here I am looking into mercury toxicity! I have recently read where not only is glutathione connect the two, but also, mercury inhibits the production of an enzyme that is important with the whole casein issue. Our son, we found through Great Plains, is highly allergic to milk, yogurt, and cheese. Hope this helps! Robbin

Guest guest
Thanks Patty. My doctor is Carl Price. He even gives out his email address so you can email any questions you have before your surgery. I emailed him about 5 times & he always emailed me back the same day!! He was very understanding and explained everything. He does not happen to agree the silicone/saline can make you sick, but he was very respectful of my beliefs & never contradicted me or tried to argue with me. He took my implants out 'en bloc' and told my husband that everything looked fine. As I said, the only leakage was some antibiotic fluid (I had no clue they bothered to inject antiobiotics inside implants) and there was no weird growths. Do any of you know whether you had antibiotics injected into your implants when they were implanted? Mine were in my chest when they were injected. I guess I got a pretty good doctor putting them in, too - considering. We are getting the implants when I go for my checkup next week. At this point, I don't care who I have to fight with to get the word out. I've emailed Oprah for a show idea on implants - I told her there are many of us on support lists who have problem after problem with the things. Hopefully, they'll do some research & we'll see a show on women having problems directly caused by the implants. Remember her 'beef'?????? She knows how to get on the bandwagon....... If any of the rest of you want to email her, go to http://www.oprah.com and follow the links to suggest show ideas, etc. I even asked about makeover help. I mean, I've had DD boobs for 14 years, and now here I am 46 with little B's, gray roots, and can't figure out what to wear when I look like a pear (I think my waist is bigger than my boobs now, LOLOLOL). Let's see if we can get a few of us on there for makeovers - for our mental health! I took NO pain meds yesterday except tylenol for my throat (the tube they use during surgery always bothers my throat). I forget I even had surgery. My arms don't hurt -- that is amazing to me! I was so used to my arms hurting that I just figured they'd always hurt. But, they don't & I feel SO wonderful about that 'little' thing. I feel better mentally just knowing the things are out. I feel free, giggle. Now, if I could just get a tummy tuck........ NO WAY - no more cosmetic surgery for me!! Anyway, if any of you have the health channel, they sometimes show cosmetic surgeries, including breast implant & explantation! The one I saw was a women who'd had several implants after a masectomy. She had problems with every one. So, they removed the implant (nothing growing, etc.) and used fat from her tummy to remake her breast. Looked very painful & she was in the hospital for a time. They called it a " flap. " I'm feeling super, so I'm blabbering. Back to my cookies (gee, if I stopped the cookies maybe I wouldn't need that tummy tuck, snicker). hugs to all, peg ________________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________________ Message: 13 Date: Tue, 30 Jan 2001 17:45:15 -0800 From: " Patty " <faussettdp@...> Subject: Re: explantation done yesterday! Guest guest
Hello everyone! I apologize for not being around lately, but we have completed our move and still are trying to get things organized. had his first day at handicapped preschool. It was terrible to say the least! First, I want to say that at this point no one has confirmed that has apraxia, they did not give me any kind of diagnosis, just that he is delayed and needs speech therapy in a preschool setting, he is 3.4 years old. Everything that I have read about apraxia seems to fit him, however. His preschool program is 2.5 hours long which is fine. I don't quite understand the big push they give you to put your child on the bus. I mean I am a stay at home Mom and we are less than 5 minutes from the school. Add to all of this the fact that has never been with anyone but his family. So there are some major separation issues. I just cannot see my son getting on a bus with strangers and me standing there waving bye, seems a bit traumatic to me for a 3 year old who is definitely not used to this and very slow to warm up. Anyway, I took him on the first day and took him to the classroom, he screamed and cried and clung to me and would not get up off the floor. I remained there but did not give him any indication that we would be leaving because of his behavior. I was waiting for him to warm up, calm down and give me some clue that he felt even the slightest bit comfortable. The teacher had called the head of the Child Study Team down who told me in no uncertain terms that I could not do this everyday, it is against their policy. I tried explaining to her that yes I realize this but I cannot leave my son like that because of the abandonment issues involved. I was told that he would be fine after the first few days. And as nurse and a mother of 2 older children, I know the routine. It is the same thing everyday, they may quiet down 10 minutes after you leave, but it is the same scene the next day. Finally he did give me a clue that he was warming up, I encouraged him to go with his " friends " in line to go out to play and he did without clinging or having me hold his hand. Now I was trapped in the classroom and at first he was screaming, but thanks to the assistant teacher, she carried him around showing him different things on the walls and got him to laugh. When the teacher came back she said he is happy and laughing and now he will see you and it will start all over again, to which I replied well how I am going to get out?! Needless to say the assistant took him around the corner while I rushed out the door. When I came back to pick him up, again the head of the Child Study Team was there telling me that from this point on I must leave him at the outside door with the teachers and not take him to the classroom. Maybe it is me but I do not understand their lack of understanding! That night did not sleep well at all, he kept waking up, sitting up and looking around and at one point woke up screaming. And this is supposed to not have an effect???? He has a very bad blister on his left ankle and I could not put shoes on him the first day, this was another issue as they like to take the children outside, so he has not been back since last Thursday as I am still treating the blister and taking him to the dermatologist. It is frustrating for me as I feel I was talked down to and I do not have a lot of options here. Has anyone gone through a similar experience? Any advice? Thank you for letting me vent.
