Hair Mineral Analysis--Results

Hi All,

I'm looking for some input if you can. My daughter's results are in from her

hair analysis. All the heavy medals and toxic elements are within " acceptable

limits " . Aluminum is the highest though, what are possible contributors to

that. Mercury is next, she is not immunized and I've cut out canned tuna. The

next significant one is Barium.

For Nutritional Minerals she is off the chart for too high Magnesium, and too

low Chromium, Phosphorus and Iron. Mangnese and Sodium are also dangerously

low. I'm fairly sure that Trileptal (we are will be weaning her off the

Trileptal in 6 weeks, once the Topamax reaches therapeutic levels) effects the

Sodium and Phosphorus, I'm not sure about the rest. The next element that was

too high was Calcium. Could the Ca and Mg be high because she is not absorbing

them? Or are they too high in supplementation? They said that the low

Phosphorus could be from a deficiency in fatty acids, but she's been on Effelax

for 3 years now (4-12 per day) and on Coromega pudding now for 3 months. She

has also been on Taurine for 3 months which is supposedly needed for EFA

absorption.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. It doesn't seem to matter what I do.

I'm not sure the Naturopath I'm using is completely qualified to incorporate the

results from this test into a proper supplementation plan for my daughter. I

believe this is her first seizure case. Does anyone know of someone who would

receive these results via fax and provide some guidance?

Thanks

Barb

Barb, this was a hair anaylisis, not blood. You may want to check out

this site (http://www.pathmed.com/p/29.html) and ask them if they

have anyone to refer you to in your area if you aren't near enough to

them. Marilyn checked them out. Ask what she thinks. You're doing

the best you can, so pat yourself on the back once in a while.
