Guest guest
This is not a reliable test and even many naturopathic doctors are now saying that it is not reliable. Also, if one is prone to hyperthyroidism, iodine can be a trigger, as many studies have shown. Especially if the thyroid problem is an autoimmune one, and also if one tests positive for TSI antibodies, which many of us autoimmune thyroid people do. I've known AI people who went hyper just from doing the iodine skin patch test. Approach iodine with caution. > > Does anyone know about using a patch of Lugol's Solution on the skin > as a test for iodine deficiency? > > Thanks. >
