Hi Everyone,

The racing heart that most hypers feel first thing upon awakening in the

morning or awakening after a fear dream was for me a very early symptom of

hyperthyroidism and about the last symptom. When you've not eaten for the

longest stretch of the day, any deficiencies are at their maximum. That's why

this is an especially common time to feel your heart race. As you're laying

there with your heart racing, think of all the hundreds of thousands of other

people who are experiencing the same thing right then. It's the time all the

hyperthyroid people commune with each other! LOL

If you also get nauseous and sweaty, then your hyperT is more severe. If you

get all those things in the night and have to get up and pace, it's even

worse. When those symptoms are your life day and night, you're in big

trouble. Calcium and Magnesium will usually halt those problems withing 20

minutes. Copper supplementation will get rid of them, and they will disappear

after about 3 months but it can be a roller coaster of good nights and bad

nights.

As I've discovered lately, beer tends to cause them for me so I've

discontinued drinking it. Other foods may cause it for you, but after you get

over the copper deficiency, you'll be able to eat virtually anything without

any nighttime problems.

When you feel an unusually bad episode of morning rapid heart beat, look back

at what you ate the day before and try to make an association. Figuring out

what sets you off can help us figure everything out. There may be many copper

antagonists in our food which we need to identify or there may be other

causes.

This morning heartbeat is probably the most sensitive indicator of your

health and you should pay attention to it and write it down in your diary.
