Based on the information that has been provided you might want to contact

Dr. Rashid A. Buttar. D.O. FAAPM, FACAM, FAAIM

Cornelius, NC. 28031

Tel: (704) 895-9355

His speciality is toxic conditions. I would suggest to you that you might

want to be tested for heavy metals and other toxic substance. Dr. Buttar

should also be able to connect you to a physician in NC that specializes in

HBOT

Best Wishes

Hi List,

I have a friend who has been chronically ill for a couple of years with

a set of symptoms that are similar to MS, but she has not been diagnosed

positively with MS. Thus far the docs have not positively diagnosed her

condition, nor have they ruled out MS, for awhile they thought she had

Bechets disease, (genetic immune disorder) but they just don't seem to

be able to nail this disease down. She has been to alot of doctors and

had scads of tests over two years time. She has not worked for almost a

year. One thing for sure is she has become very sensitive to chemicals

and many foods during the past year or so and she has lost alot of weight.

She just contacted me and said the latest working theory is that she has

had viral encephalitis for several years and the virus is causing all of

this. She has gone down hill rapidly in the recent month and is using a

walker, she has lesions in her brain, throat, and eyes, peripheral

neuropathy that is very painful at times. She is 40 with a four year old

child. She has had mri's every six weeks that show worsening brain

lesions. She suspects the beginning of this disease is when she moved

into a new home in Arizona that had just been sprayed for termites and

spiders about two years ago. That is when this whole nightmare started.

She left the house about four months ago and at first improved and now

has relapsed to the worst she has ever been.Of course all this moving

has put her under a great deal of stress. She moved this month to

Raleigh, North Carlina where she has relatives to help her.

This is my question, would HBOT help her and is there a place near her

where she can go for treatment? She has good health insurance and some

funds with family willing to help her, but travel is difficult.

Thanks for any assistance, she is really losing hope with her rapid

decline, and feels the doctors are grasping at straws. Two month ago she

was walking two/three miles a day, now she is using a walker and it

hurts her to move at all. She has lost all hope. I have been telling her

about hyperbarics ever since she confirmed the brain injury, but she

never really considered hbot, because none of her doctors did. Now she

is desperate, and would do anything. She is always sick with infections

through out her body, including chronic eye infections. Suggestions?

Lucinda.

Hi Ed,

I appreciate the additional information and I have forwarded it to my

friend in North Carolina. Unfortunately, I am off your beaten path, I

live in Montana, but am a native Floridian so enjoy some of that

sunshine for me!
