Guest guest
Grace, Dr. Harch strongly endorses more limited HBOT (20 sessions at 1.5 ATA) after the first 80 / 120 sessions. However, we have decided to let our dictate her HBOT's since our clinic opened last summer. She had 40 sessions in August/Sept. with a few weeks off; she then kept going through the holiday season for 65 sessions straight before taking another 3-4 weeks off. SHe did not have any problems with that regimen and we have seen continued progress. I would not advocate this for other kids, but present it for food for thought. Each child is very different and should have HBOT in accordance with their sensitivity to it. Also, please note that does take Dr. Perlmutter's " Brain Sustain " and I credit that with some of the improvements as well as her ability to tolerate continued HBOT. But, that is just a guess, not a fact. (PS try his new children's chocolate brain sustain... the kids enjoy it!). Everything else continues the same as always and remains well and hectic here for us. Guest guest
Greetings, Thanks Ed for your suggestion. I've been looking for a comprehensive formula for liese, instead ofbuying all she needs separately. It's good to hear you resurface after many months of hard work that I know you have been doing. Guest guest
Dear Ed, thanks for your response. You mentioned that had 40 sessions last August. How many sessions had she gone through before? How about the frequency, was it 3 times a week of 5 times a week? After Rosita's third session, how long the break would you suggest? Thanks. Look forward to hearing from you. Guest guest
Dear Grace, First, I am just a parent and this is just our opinion and personal experience. We try not to take breaks. We do 5 or 6 a week. That's once a day with a day or two off. We find that when we take breaks all improvements stop and it then takes four to five weeks for us to begin noticing improvements again. Our son is 14 now (his birthday was last week). I have been told, not all kids can handle it. But if yours can, the more treatments you do, the more improvement you'll see. We also seem to find that it takes some (including us) around 30 treatments to start seeing results, so sometimes we feel like the first 30 are a wash and so we recommend doing more than just 10 after the improvements start. I wish you all the luck in the world.
