MIchele, I took malic acid for about six months when I was first diagnosed

with fibro and RA ....it never made a darn bit of difference to me....so I

stopped it...I take MTX,Lodine, folic acid, darvocets, and norflex now....and

believe it or not I am usually not too bad for flares.I have my good days

and my bad....I get trigger point injections every 2 months at my RD and I

can get shots of Torydol if I need them at my PCP for bad flares........Judy

Hi all, just read all the entries and had to laugh about the one about lets

pretend we are married; get your own blanket LOL tee hee! , I hope

you get to feel better soon;right after my son died I got a horrible

infection for about 2 weeks; it finally went away with penicillin and lots

of tea and honey, also I think if you have asthma pineapple juice is good

for mucous and also get some garlic capsules too; it is anatural antibiotic

and I don't think it can hurt; this time of year seems to be filled with so

muchcrud and flus; my daughter who has down syndrome catches just

about anything that goes around; She had a nasty cold about2 days ago and

so am filling her with lots of vitamin c, and also fluids and of course

mom's tlc; would of took her into the docs office but she was on ampicillin

the entire month of december so felt we don't need that if we can get away

without it; and the docs offices specially pediatricians offices are filled

with germs; I had a horrible day yesterday with my fibro; I stayed up last

night tillalmost midnight was in so much pain; today I am better but will

definately talk about it when I see my doctor; that will be february 8th;

it is so hard to take care of littleones when we have chronic crap ourselves

isn't it ladies; oh, thanks angela, Jeanette, Rainy Sue , a and all I

haven't mentioned for all the neat stuff you guys post everyday; I lov you

guys; oh, does anybody take malic acid for fibro? I take it every day and

I really wonder if it is helping cause i still get flares; i think more is

goingon with me tho and I stay so busy with my little one; I push myself to

the max homeschooling my little one; luv and hugs to all, God bless,

Michele in Houston

Hi Guys,

One way to tell if you have an email type virus is to enter a dummy address in

your address book such as aaaaaaaaaaaa. If the virus automatically tries to

send mail to your address list, you will get a message that the message to

aaaaaaaaa failed because it is an invalid address.

Ann,

Remember it takes a 3500 calorie deficiency to lose a pound. If at your

weight you burn 2600 on an average (it also depends on age) day and you ate

2000 calories for 7 days you are under by 4200 calories and then add in

exercise. Looks like you are just about on track and might be under by 2

lbs next week with a little exercise added in. I wish this equation worked

for me but from what I figured out I burn calories like a person over the

age of 50 despite the fact that I am in my 30's.

This is my recipe for almond milk

1 cup raw almonds soaked for about 4 hours

Add 1/2 tsp vanilla

1Tablespoon agave nectar or other sweetner.

Run the all the ingredients and 3 cups water in a vitamix/blender for at least

90 full seconds.

Pour into a nut milk bag. Squeeze out the milk.

Drink within 1 day. It goes bad VERY quickly.

Will you tell me how you make the almond milk?  I have a simple recipe,

but I'd like to hear from someone who's actually made it.
