and Naprosyn

My daughter is also blonde with blue eyes and I have had

her on/off naprosyn for almost 3yrs. No one has ever mentioned scarring to

me, but I have noticed alot of posts these last few days talking about this.

I know that one side effect of most of the meds is sensitivity to light,

especially sunlight. I can see how it could be interpreted as scarring if

there were significant burning by sun, thus causing scarring (?) Another

sensitivity to light comes from the possible eye problems associated with

JRA. As Uvitis being the inflammation behind the eye, being sensitive to

looking at light or turning from light was a symptom our opthamologist said

to watch for. When goes for her eye exam, she has never had drops to

dialate the eye, they use a special unit she sits in and they look thruogh

this sort of microscope type thing to see through the eye into the part

behind the iris where the possible inflamation may be. Being ANA positive

as I understand it signifies that the possibility for JRA is most likely...

My rhuemy explained it that even people who could be ANA positive may never

develope arthritis, like people with likely cancer genes may never actually

get diagnosed or have cancer, they are just more likely to.
