Guest guest
Kelsey, You are just AMAZINGLY AWESOME! Did you know that you have more grace, dignity, courage and 'spunk' than most adults I know?? I'll bet you're just as beautiful on the outside as you are on the inside! I think being the "poster girl" for the CLF is a fabulous idea and you're perfect for it! YOU GO GIRL! And don't you fret about missing one rehearsal. You're gonna knock them out of their seats with your talent young lady. Mark my words! anne (from Australia) [ ] Re: trish and kelsey/Kathy TY Kathy for your post!Kels is looking forward to educating her class on AIH.Mild set back today, severe out break of headlice in Kels' classroom, what a flippin mess. I hated putting all that crap in her hair today. First this kid bugging her now lice, 6 kids out of 25 were sent home. I was in touch with a local office for the Candadian Liver Foundation, spoke to her about Kels' need for support and understanding. There ar eno kids in our area younger than 19 with an autoimmune disease. I told the gal on the phone about Kels's need to educate the public about her disease and how it can affect so many YOUNG people. She told me that in our area March is liver awareness month and they ar ein dire of need of a childs voice to speak out on liver disease, she asked if Kels could thier poster kid? I told her Kels may be 9 but she has the knowledge of a 21 year old. I asked Kels if she would be interested in doing this? Her reply was "If it would help one kid like me being ill so others dont look at her funny. Say mean things. Or tell them they are a looser, Id do it 100 times over Mom." Amazing how a trying day with Lice, a child ill with AIH, her eczema worse than its been(on a new med by the way), the dork bugging her in class, wanting to compete in this talent conest at school(which she missed a rehersal today and cried and cried), told her mom that she looks like crap today(LOL)...honesty bites! She is really amazing!Trish> Hi Trish,> My heart breaks when I hear of a child being teased. > Good for you for advocating for your child. Guest guest
Trish and Kelsey, What a great thing to do! So many people would really get an education! go for it Kels. You have a whole load of cheerleaders behind you. You are an inspiration to all of us. And don't sweat the headlice! I am so used to seeing it and having it too. As a teacher, it is no big deal. I remember when clare had it with her long white blonde hair. it took forever to go through it with the fine tooth comb and pick, pick, pick! but it does go away. Keep us posted about the poster girl thing as well as your talent show. hugs, kathy --- kissemesoftly <son_ya100@...> wrote: --------------------------------- TY Kathy for your post!
