Guest guest
My daughter Kelsey is doing well. She responded to medications very quickly and is now off Prednisone, but ona high dose of Imuran and a mild dose of Entocort. She is one increadible kid, a good positive attitude and a huge heart. The only problem we are having right now is the battle at her school with a lice epidemic, 15% of the student population is infected. Kels has already had 3 treatments of the lice shampoo back in March because she did get it, its still rampnat in her classroom and the treatments make her feel very ill. I am currently in the process of having her transferred to another school in September that would give her a healthier enviornment. Trish > Thanks so much for he reply. Guest guest
Trish, I am really glad Kelsey is doing better! About the lice….well, 3 of the 20 in my class are home with lice. Tis the season! I just look at each one carefully as I walk about the classroom…we have it all the time and it just doesn’t seem to always go away. Little girls with long hair giggle and laugh together, and those little kids just LOVE to share. Have you considered an essential oil treatment? It is less toxic. Also, if you put baby oil, or just make sure her hair is oilier than normal, the little guy will just slide off. The cleaner the hair, the easier it is to get those little “friends”. Guest guest
We have delt with this before. My daughter 2 at the time was allergic to the treatment and we had to buy one of the metal combs and basically just comb them out of her hair daily until we got them all. There are some natural treatments too. One is putting a whole jar of mayonaise on her head and then a shower cap for I believe 15 minutes to smother them. LOL! I didn't try it but it sounds feasible and it won't hurt her hair. Good luck. It can be a huge frustration! Jo > > Thanks so much for he reply. Guest guest
IU listed my ALT (635) AST (210) in another message but I can't find Albium. There is Albumin. It was within normal range (4.5) Normal is 3.0-5.5. Jo > I'll have to check my paperwork again both the ALT and AST were high > but I don't remember anything about abium. Thanks for that > consideration. I'll check and see. > Jo > >
