You would need Red Clover!

RED CLOVER - TRIFOLIUM PRATENSE - FABACEAE

Parts used - Flowering tops

Collection - Collect when flowering, before flowers are past their best.

Dry carefully in the shade.

ACTIVE CONSTITUENTS

Red Clover blossoms are high in minerals, especially iron, phosphorus, calcium,

magnesium,

copper and molybdenum. Iron is more readily absorbed in the body with the

presence of copper and

molybdenum. They also contain Vitamins A and B, oestrogenic

substances, salicyclic acid - this is the substance found in white

willow bark from which aspirin first derived. Other substances which have been

isolated from

Red Clover are coumarins, thins the blood, good for high blood pressure,

isoflavones, sugars,

protein and a volatile oil.
