Guest guest
The situation with the closed airspace and the volcano will probably have an effect on delivery times - I guess it depends on how much backlog there is?
Guest guest
I think it would also depend if it is stopped in customs. If it is I don't think you will get them in time. > > The situation with the closed airspace and the volcano will probably have an effect on delivery times - I guess it depends on how much backlog there is? >
Guest guest
Hi Lesley - yes, certain grains of Armour are available again - but not all. Try www.internationalpharmacy.com .. Are you sure that it is the Erfa that is giving you these symptoms - perhaps you should be investigating the possibility of other sources. Luv - Sheila From: thyroid treatment [mailto:thyroid treatment ] On Behalf Of barleywine45 Sent: 04 May 2010 13:00 thyroid treatment Subject: Armour Due to Armour being in short supply since Christmas, i have been taking Erfa. I feel it is not suiting me as i am having digestive problems-IBS etc; general lethargy and terrible hayfever symptoms! I was just wondering if anyone knew if Armour was available for prescription again? Ps my blood test has come back OVERactive Thanks Lesley No virus found in this incoming message. Guest guest
Hi I've only just started taking Armour and got my first delivery last week, but my tablets are really crumbly too, to the point where cutting them in half with a pill cutter results in a horrible mess. I've also been taking them sublingually as I was following the guidance in the thyroid info pack Which I presumed had been updated, and I've just read on here that you can no longer take them sublingually, but the tablets I have do dissolve in my mouth. I'm seeing Dr S and when I was there last week he talked about the old Armour now being available and that they had only changed the formulation in the first place because some patients had complained about the taste, but that is was now slowly coming back but wasn't available in all sizes yet. I don't really know that much about it as I've obviously only just started taking it but just thought I'd share what I'd noticed. Rightly or wrongly I've been taking it sublingually as it seems to still work for me but if thats no longer the way to take it would be helpful if the info pack could be updated. Many thanks Bunny > > > > Hi, > > I recently took delivery of some new Armour and it is the same 'crumbly' consistancy as old Armour. It feels ok. Guest guest
Hi Bunny If they have really gone back to the 'old' armour (the crumbley one) we will all do a dance around our living rooms. woohoo The 'old' armour was used with great success for 100 years and got people out of their wheelchairs. Dr S is seriously excellent and if this is truly the case you can expect to start getting your health back. The 'old' armour did disolve sublingually and the 'new' armour was as hard as a rock and useless and we all got sick and had to find an alternative.(Erfa or thyroid S) So............keep taking it sublingually and keep us updated on how it is going. Guest guest
Hi Well I hope so too - but can only say it dissolves in my mouth! I got a bit worried earlier when I read you shouldn't take it sublingually anymore but I guess if it's dissolving then it's okay. My tablets are incredibly crumbly - I bought a pill cutter having tried to use a knife and reduced several tablets to dust, but even with the pill cutter they just break up. I've only been taking it 5 days so havent noticed anything yet I don't think. Dr S was talking to someone else in the room about the fact that he was switching me to Armour (from levothyroxine which just made me iller) and that was what he said but please don't anyone get too excited cos I was very tired at the time and may have misunderstood what he meant ; ( Here's hoping though ; ) Bunny > > Hi Bunny > > If they have really gone back to the 'old' armour (the crumbley one) we will all do a dance around our living rooms. woohoo >
Guest guest
Hi bunny, this may sound silly, but I just bite then in half- it goes quite cleanly and accurately- I put the groove on my bottom teeth so I know I've got the right place. > thyroid treatment > From: karen.liff@...> Date: Sun, 16 May 2010 12:25:19 +0000> Subject: Re: Armour> > Hi > > I've only just started taking Armour and got my first delivery last week, but my tablets are really > crumbly too, to the point where cutting them in half with a pill cutter results> in a horrible mess. Guest guest
Has Armour production stabilized and been made available to users again? I am having NO luck with compounds and Naturethroid hypes me up so bad on just one grain that I'm frazzled by it. I would love to go back to Armour and titrate up to what works - but am unsure about availability or any other problems mfg may be having. Any info out there? -- Duffy
Guest guest
Liesha, sounds as if you need to go through a process of elimination to find exactly what the cause is of you not being able to tolerate thyroid hormone replacement. The most obvious could be that you have low adrenal reserve, which must be treated, otherwise, no amount of thyroid hormone replacement can be utilised at cellular level and you will keep getting the symptoms you are at present. Other causes are systemic candidiasis, mercury poisoning caused through amalgam fillings, low levels of ferritin (you really need to find the elemental iron supplement that will work, take with high doses of vitamin C and take at least four hours away from thyroid hormone replacement), vitamin D3, magnesium, folate, copper and zinc. Get all of these checked by your GP and post the results here. It is absolutely no good persevering with your NST if it is causing you these problems - so get these other possibilities out of the way first. Read the attached VERY important document before proceeding further. Luv - Sheila I do have low ferritin (32) which I have been trying to increase for the past year using different supplements, but I don't seem to be able to increase this, so I know this isn't helping. It feels like catch 22. I tried T3 only, last year but could not tolerate that either, with the same problems. Is there any answer to this, I'm really fed up with continually going round in circles and feeling so exhausted and achy all the time. .._,___ 1 of 1 File(s) Why thyroid hormone stops working (2).doc
Guest guest
Why dont you just chew it? saves time but also you dont loose any of the tablet...also more energy efficient! tehe.....xx JOT - is it ok to first crush it between two spoons and put under the tongue to melt? That's what I've been doing for the last 3.5 weeks and my symptoms are improving. "The new formula needs to be chewed up in the mouth before being swallowed. It no longer melts under the tongue, like the original formula. "
