  1. Has anyone seen Dr.Goldstein for PSSD? or does anyone know someone who has and does anyone know anything about his treatment plan and if it works? Thanks
  2. Hello everyone, This is my first post so Im hoping that I am doing this correctly. I apologize in advance for the long post, but I have something to ask that I can’t seem to find an answer to. So earlier this fall, I was at work when I heard an ad on the radio about a women’s medication to help with sexual desire. I became interested in this ad when the spokesman began to explain that the pill helped with desire rather than function. I learned on the ad that the name of the medication was Addyi (flibanserin.) I went home that night and began to do my research on the medication and I immediately thought I had discovered a cure or at least treatment for PSSD. I learned that the medication was initially intended to be an anti-depressant but it went wrong and acted in the opposite way. I learned that it decreased serotonin and increased dopamine (opposite of what ssri does) and I learned that it had a positive impact on women’s sexual desire which of course occurs in the brain. I thought this must work on men as well and I thought THIS IS IT!!!!!!!!!!! NO MORE SUFERING IT IS ALL OVER HERE COMES THE HEALTHY SEXUAL DRIVE DESIRE PASSION I HAD MISSED. So I searched the Internet and PSSD groups for information regarding Addyi being used to treat PSSD and I found NOTHING. Not one single post about it. Now it has been a few months since then, but I have still found almost nothing. I thought for sure people on the PSSD forums would be going crazy over this Addyi, but I have found nothing accept a post that there is evidence that Addyi has worked to relieve the negative sexual side affects of Prozac in rats but no other information. So maybe someone on here can help me answer these questions. Could Addyi possibly treat PSSD? THIS IS THE MAIN QUESTION 1: Am I missing something here? Is there some obvious reason why this medication would never work to treat PSSD or am I just crazy for thinking this could work? 2: Why is this medication intended for women only and would it only work for women? 3: Does anyone know of a source or a site where I can find information about this or does anyone know of someone who has tried Addyi for PSSD? Thank you in advance for all of your help. Hopefully someone will be able to help me find the answers I seek!
