Yogiraj Swami Ramdev said that today terrorism is the biggest danger for the peace and inhabitants in the world. He said that addiction to alcohol, cigarette, gutkha and other such things makes the person insensitive. Intoxication gives birth to anger while contemplation arouses understanding. Pranayam helps the person in reaching a sort of emptiness, which is free from insensitive behaviour.

Humanity means supporting the dependants, because when we enjoy all kinds of happiness ourselves, we do not get the complete happiness but increases unhappiness. When we share other’s unhappiness then our sorrow reduces. Therefore, he advised the people to share other’s problems, sorrows and reduce their unhappiness.

He said that a student takes new birth when he stays in gurukul. He said that we subject our bodies to lot of work throughout the day and therefore one hour of Yog practice everyday is necessary. He said that the body makes a person capable for earning wealth. Wealth and luxuries do not last forever. These are movable things. The relations and family associations are not permanent in nature. He said that only enjoyment and no Yog would make a person diseased. Swami Ji talked about rumours being spread in the name of medical science. The medical practitioners have propogated that weak bones cannot be strengthened.

Yog is very essential for life. It overcomes anger and arouses thedormant strengthens lying within. World Health Organization (WHO) does not have permanent cure for arthritis. Allopathy has no cure for this problem, knee transplantations are done but the procedure has found to be ineffective in many cases. He said that this is the leading health problem in India at present followed by eye diseases. The doctors say that if a person starts using spectacles once then he cannot do without them in life and if once the eyesight gets affected (longsightedness or shortsightedness) then it does not get cured.

Swami Ji Maharaj said that the happiness attained from the practice of pranayam alongwith devotion towards god is inexplicable. It changes the life completely. Yog takes us from ignorance to knowledge. It teaches us to live in present. A person who lives in present and forgets about past or future remains alert, aware anddoes not commit mistakes. The past and future of such person becomes fortunate. He said that a person should play the role given to us with complete dedication.

Swami Ji talked about fulfillment of duty towards nation. He said a person should offer first prayer to the motherearth and second to the mother. Indian culture is not changeable. Swami Ji said that asceticism is not escaping from one’s responsibilities but is the ultimate of all actions.

Yogiraj Baba Ramdev said that sick people couldn’t contribute in theprogress of the country. He advised the people to practice Yog in order to be disease free and reach great heights in one’s life. An absconder can never become a yogi. He said that the life of an individual should be stronger than diamond and more delicate than flowers. He said that junk food culture has rusted the people’s bones and therefore children should be given proper guidance. Devotion along with good care of mind and body develops a rich character. Yog makes a person a yogi.

Swami Ramdev Baba said that the sages brought in Yog, and he has simply selected them and researched. He said that the strength of the universe lies in the vital life energy. Life is a yagna. He asked the people to make their lives pious and bright which are free from any blemishes. Yogrishi said that he has just represented this strength overlooking all controversies. Yog helps in understanding the internal strength and arouses it. He said that religion does not mean simply to wear big garlands, chains, performing pujas in the temples, reading namaz in the mosques. These are just factors representing a particular religion. He said religion means tolerance, forgiveness, politeness, and is the supreme order of faith. Theism is acceptance of an identity (God). A strong man does not take revenge but forgives. Yog purifies the body, truth purifies the mind, knowledge and education purifies intelligence, body purifies the soul and charity purifies the wealth. We have a constitution to guide us; similarly Veda is the constitution of God. Regulated and rhythmic breathing cultivates devotion and becomes the basis of wellness. It gives peace of mind and overcomes the confusion in sensory organs. Stabilizing the mind is concentration. Remaining with concentrated mind is contemplation, and contemplation of mind is transportation of mind or samadhi. A person with pitta nature should not eat hot, fried food. It is good to include gourd, cucumber, and other raw vegetables. Similarly a person with kapha nature should avoid cold things, rice, curd, buttermilk etc. Milk mixed with small pippali and turmeric is ideal. Food grains should be avoided in the morning. He also said that lunch should be taken between 11 a.m and 12 noon and dinner between 7 p.m and 8 p.m. One should keep silence at the time of eating food and remember god. Swami Ji also talked about sleeping habits and said that sleep is a wonderful experience. If a person suffers from sleeplessness then he or she could lose mental balance also. A healthy person requires six hours of sound sleep. Children and old people need at least eight hours of sleep. Swami Ji said that proper sleeping habits improve overall health of the person. Similarly, when a person continues to satisfy the desires of sensory organs, the lust and sexual desires keep on increasing. Hence, everybody should try to lead a controlled life. Swami Ji explained about the bathing time during the practice of Yogasana and said that bath should be taken after the body comes back to normal temperature. Bathing refreshes the body, reduces unwanted heat and makes the body light and pure. Swami Ji mentioned about contemplation and said that a practitioner desirous of attaining happiness, peace and satisfaction should worship god for at least 15 minutes after completing the morning chores, bathing, asana etc. Chanting Aum and Gayatri mantra for long time devotionally gives immense strength, peace and happiness.

Replying to a question he said that the flowers of spirituality blossom in the families, which sow the seeds of devotion towards god, faith in god, and supreme soul. It spreads the fragrance of love, happiness and satisfaction in the air. The heart of every individual is the temple of god.

Every person wants satisfaction in life. He wanders here and there in search of peace and happiness. But the man is not aware that the real peace and happiness is lying within him. External happiness cannot be enjoyed without arousing internal energy. A man does various actions through the representation of various desires, lusts and emotionsand also enjoys them. Swami Ramdev Ji said that Yog is not an invention but a miracle. Inventions take place in science and whatever takes place in Yog is miracle. He said that not only he but also several nations along with India have accepted this fact. Science has given us atomic bombs for destruction. Yog gives us healthy body to stop destruction. Baba said that Yog and spirituality could help in establishing Indian culture on the world platform. India should get back its glory. The whole world should follow it. Today, man is losing from all sides due to lack of determination. He has become insensitive due to selfishness and narrowmindedness and is proceeding towards barbarism. Yog helps in bringing paradigm shift in attitudes and arouses the determination. It arouses the willingess, masculinity and associates the person with the mainstream.

Nowadays, people are directionless due to bad company. But, regular practice of Yog purifies the mind and body. It changes the thoughts and increases the possibility of changing the life. Pranayam associates the person with the soul and he or she does not involve in violence or crime. Swami Ramdev gave an example of Haryana and Himachal Pradesh and said that the people of these states are more alert and hence have been able to prevent terrorist activities. He also said that people are becoming more and more ambitious these days and their determination power is week. Baba Ramdev said that people ask about the utility of a good body. Replying to this question, he said that the body is not just to show it to others. A good and healthy body can only keep a person disease free. Today, marketing is the in thing. I also do marketing. But I market Yog, which is totally harmless and beneficial. Addressing the participants present in the Yog camp, Baba said that people generally ask that what is the use of maintaining good body after getting married. But, he stressed on the importance of a healthy body only after marriage. He talked at length about obesity and demonstrated Yogic kriya and said that nowadays people have body like an elephant but lack the strength of an elephant.

He openly challenged his critics and said that he would make the entire world an agent of Yog and not just a few thousands or millions. He also claimed boldly that nobody would be able to stop this Yog revolution. Talking about the benefits of Yog Swami Ramdev said that hisYog is the combination of science and spirituality. He has extended the ancient Vedic culture of India up to
the common man and he has no complaints if anybody criticizes him forthis purpose. His mission is to make the entire world disease free along with conservation of nature. Swami Ji advised the participants to adopt Yog andinspire others to do so in order to spread the yog revolution up to each and every household.

Yog is not just devotion but a fact. It is a complete science. This visible world is a part of god. He said that the invisible (indirect) strength is much more powerful than the visible (direct) strength. Swami Ji explained the significance of Yog to thousands of practitioners present in the camp. The practitioners listened to him amidst the rising bright sunlight and became energetic. Baba said that we cannot see the internal organs directly but we can think of good health and better living only when they function properly and remain disease free. Air, smell etc. are not visible but they have tremendous power. We can only see the colour but itdoes not have any individual entity, it comes from sunrays. What we see is artificial and what we cannot see is real. The direct (visible) thing is less powerful than indirect (invisible) thing. It is the spiritual side of Yog. We understand the physical body with visible strength and mental body with invisible strength. The diseases are also seen in the physical body. Therefore the body should be protected from the diseases. Oxygen is very important for the body. Pranayam provides complete oxygen to the body. Skin is the outer layer of the body. Oxygen cleans the skin, super facial, facia, deep facia, bones, and bone marrow below the skin. Oxygen strengthens them and plays an important role in this process.

Swami Ji said that our body consists of seven humours. There are seven main systems in the body. The body remains healthy when these systems function properly. Seven-step pranayam and nine main asanas are helpful in keeping the body healthy. The practitioners should practice asanaand pranayam everyday. He said that life is meaningless without devotion, surrender and faith. Faith is life and takes us to greater heights in life. Therefore, one should practice Yog with complete faith, dedication and submit oneself to it. Baba said that prana or vital life energy is Brahma and takes us to the Brahma. Medical science also believes it. Lack of faith and surrender generates diseases. Yog purifies the eight chakras and the body functions better. Kapalbhati overcomes urinary problems. It cures gastric trouble, constipation, and other stomach related problems.

He said that there are 13 different types of fire, in other words lack of fire cools down the body, which is sometimes fatal. The one and only one reason for this is deficiency of internalinternal heat. I teach the people the art of living. It is not a cult or sect, it is the art of Yog. Kapalbhati corrects the entire bone frame and its system. It provides nutrition to the bones and strengthens them. Baba said that Yog teaches us the scientific way of living. The circulatory system supplies water, oxygen and heat to different parts of the body. When this system functions smoothly, the blood secretion is also normal. On the whole pranayam cures internal organs.

Swami Ramdev said that name is the root of all fights. Therefore one should give more importance to work than name. Name should be opposed not the knowledge. Therefore he tries to go beyond names. Swami Ji said that yog was prevalent several centuries back then what is the novelty? Answering to this question he said that he has conducted a spiritual researchon this subject. He applied it on the basis of research not just by reading books. People believed him and relieved their problems.

Baba Ramdev associated religion with culture and threw light on the importance of Yog. He said, “Practice Yog, your life will improve, the combination of devotion and action is Yog. Practice of Yog will remove darkness of life, it will remove anguishes and you will get liberation.” He said that one should aim for development of the nation instead of self-development. One does not progress with self-development, because one can accumulate wealth, property with self-progress but they are not the sources of happiness of the body. The wealth will remain here and the body goes into some other world. If a person leaves behind the attachment for wealth and continues with his or her work because work is immortal, it remains here. God has given the same coloured blood in all human beings whatever be his or her religion.

Swami Ji talked about building a healthy and progressive society and nation in between Yog session. He said that pranayam brings in religion and culture into our lives. It is the basic mantra of Yog, which keeps the person healthy through body, enjoys sound health, and becomes efficient, successful mentally, physically and financially. He said that adopting Kapalbhati, Bahya, anulom-vilom,Brahmari, Udgeet and Ujjayi pranayam in daily routine would change the whole life. Seven simple asana would make the life joyful.

He said that if we follow even one word that comes out from the mouth of sages, it would change our life. Human life is very rare but the man destructs it due to his foolishness. Unfortunately, the man is escaping from the actions for which he has taken birth in this world.

Swami Ji said that today ill culture is spreading and it is intolerable. The most intelligent creature of this world is becoming selfish and doing wrongactivities. On one hand he worships god and on the other hand he is destructing different forms of god. He worships lord Ganesha in the morning and then kills his vehicle rat at night. He said that man is eating one of the forms of god, Matsya (fish). Today, people are eating fish considering it to be eatable. They are also catching snakes, which is the garland of lord Shiva. Swami Ji said that if a person cannot give life to anybody then do they have the right to take it away? If we want to kill, then we should kill our ego and pride. All the creatures living on this earth, whether big or small have a soul. It is a sin to kill that soul.

Swami Ji said that man has imprisoned god in temples and wanders outside. He does not know that god is omnipresent in every form. Everything has Brahma. An unknown body is working inside the body round the clock. Man has made a house for god also on this earth. Today, people are worshipping god but they are not recognizing his form. Baba said that he does not go to temple, but that does not mean thathe is an atheist. He worships everyday, not idols but real forms.

Baba said that till our mind and body remain healthy we could imagine of internal happiness. Regular practice of Yog and pranayam purifies mind and body and we have got this gift for living and do something. He said that some people commit suicides for the sake of trivial matters, which is wrong. He said that stress is the main reason for all diseases. When a man leads a stressful life then he does not like anything so much so that he starts hating his own children. Baba advised the people to practice Yog and pranayam everyday.

He read out a letter received from Smt. Renu Sarin, Secretary, rehabiliation and welfare affairs, Home Ministry. According to this letter, the secretary was asked to thank Swami Ji for organizing Yog camps from time to time for central police forces, which provided mental and physical strength to the policemen. The ministry has obtained information in thisregard on different occasions.
