Yoga guru Swami Ramdev today praised Railway Minister Lalu Prasad for his statement in the wake of the controversy caused by CPI-M leader Brinda Karat’s allegation that the aurvedic medicines manufactured at his pharmacy contained animal and human bones.

“I thank Laluji for his statement in the wake of the controversy wherein he said there is no harm in consuming the bones of ‘manav’ (man) or ‘danav’ (devil) as long as it cures people,” he said at a week-long yoga camp on the fourth day when Lalu arrived unannounced this evening.

The RJD supremo reached the venue at Gandhi Maidan around 5 pm and headed straight for the dias where he garlanded the swami and presented him the replica of a steam engine.

“I have no doubt that your yoga will run like the engine of superfast Shatabdi Express and reach its goal of giving a healthy life to the people in a very short time,” Lalu said.

He then sat in the VIP enclosure with former ministers in the erstwhile Rabri Devi government Ramchandra Purve and Shakuni Chaudhary, and BJP MLA Rameshwar Prasad Kushwaha and was seen performing pranayams.

Though Lalu needed to be corrected by a demonstrator in doing the pranayam, the RJD boss – always a quick learner – was soon seen telling Purve and Chaudhary how to do these properly.
