+++Hi Sandy. Please do not rely on any testing to confirm whether or

not you have candida - see this article:

http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/intro3.php

+++Most candida sufferers also have other bacterial overgrowth, but

the treatment is the same.

good bacteria at all. We found this strange because I have been on

high potency probiotic that contained this strain for years. I've

continued taking it while on Bee's program. The doctor thinks that

perhaps the coconut oil is responsible for the lack of this benefical

bacteria and wants we to stop the coconut oil for thirty days.

of stopping the coconut oil.

+++No, coconut oil definitely does NOT kill off good bacteria! If it

did then people in the South Seas and other countries would have been

wiped out eons ago since they have always had a lot of it.

+++I don't believe the test is accurate for lactobacillus either.

Bee,

I didn't mean to ask if coconut oil kills off all the good bacteria,

just the strain of lactobacillus in paticular. I have taken tons of

this over the last few years on a daily basis and none was to be

found. The only thing we could think of was that perhaps it was the

coconut oil. The test did identify that I did have other strains of

good bacteria just not the lactobacillus species.

It is my understanding that most people test positve for Candida with

the CDSA 2.0 test by Genova Diagnostics, so I was a bit surprised too.

I'm not sure what to think right now. They are a very reputable

testing company. Perhaps I still have SIBO. (Small Intestinal Bacteria

Overgrowth). I'm just don't get bloated or very gassy anymore.
