Plagiocephaly Sent: Thursday, April 05, 2001 11:04 AM Subject: 2nd Band Or Not? Hi everybody! Well, I took Bryce to the orthotist today and was told that he wants to recast Bryce for another STARband. He's been in this one for 3 months and I am EXTREMELY happy with the progress. It's "almost" perfect. I don't know whether we should do another one or not. He's 9 months old. Our neurosurgeon said that once he outgrew this band that we would be finished. If it can get his head even more symmetrical I would do it, but how do I know it's not just going to be a waste of time? I'm so worried that I'm not going to choose the right thing to do. Guest guest
Jess, What a great report on Bryce. It sounds like your STARband has been doing great things for him. I can imagine how difficult it must be to decide whether or not to continue. I am sure that others here who have faced that decision will respond and from their responses, your research and your mommy instinct you will make the right decision. Keep us posted!!!
