Stasia,

I don't think there is anything really specific you can do about comfort

while lying. It really is an adjustment thing and I think he will adjust and

probably very soon. Depending on his age, of course, it is not recommended to

put things in the crib with him. Does he have a comfort item that he could

sleep with like a blankie or a stuffed animal (depending on his age!!!)?

has a blankie that helped her through the whole thing - she was 9

months and walking when she started so the blankie was safe for her.

Sorry, I guess this isn't much help!! :-)

Sorry about all of these questions, but I'm new at this so be patient

with me. Is there any tricks to get my son to be more comfortable

wearing the band while laying down?

He has been doing much better today with the band on sitting up but

when I put him on the floor to play he started fussing and pulling at

the helmet...Not screaming in pain, just fussing.

OH - almost forgot...went out to dinner the other night. We had to

wait awhile for our table and I almost burst out in laughter at the

people trying to look but not look at in his helmet. It

gets quite a reaction! A lady who also had a baby his age sat next

to us while waiting and politely asked what the helmet was for and I

explained it to her. She said that was really neat that they could

do something for him and she would tell her friends about the tummy

play time.

Have a good day!

Stasia,

Sam would sleep in the car with his band first.(I do have to run

alot) so I think sleeping in it became habit before actually laying

in bed. I also think it is something they just have to 'get used

to'. Hang in there.

Marci...MY goodness waling at 9 months, Sam will be 1 this week and

can stand and set himself down, but REFUSES to walk. (He will in

play pen or crib, around furniture, with a walker toy, BUT NO WAY on

his own.

I meant to mention this in my pp to you but there is a group for

older plagio children and there are many people with older children

that have gone untreated on this board.
