Yeast-caused eye infection

Hi--I am glad to know about this fantastic, helpful group packed with

informative files! As I learn more, I'm sure this will change the

lives of many of our family members for the better.

The past two weeks I have been battling a bad staph infection which

includes seven icky sores on my feet and legs. Today a regular

doctor cultured it to determine if it is MRSA. I'll find out the end

of the week. Meanwhile, I have no intention of taking the Bactrim

prescription she wrote out for me.

I've been taking a myriad of supplements to heal from this, including

Oreganol P-73 on the sores and internally maybe four times per day.

I don't know if this stirred up latent yeast, but soon after starting

the treatment, I was hit with a horrific vaginal yeast infection PLUS

an eye infection!

My eyes are the most worrisome. They are stuck closed totally in the

mornings and partially during the day. Yellow-whitish goo is pouring

forth; my lids and the corners by my nose are swollen; and the whites

are blood red. The painful part is the tough,hard-to-break, 1/2 "

long globby strings or filaments of hardened mucus which accumulate

under the lid and scratch my cornea, causing extreme tearing. I

looked around online and found a fancy name for this: candida

endophthalmalgia (or something close to that).

It sounds like I may have been building up to this extreme situation

for quite a while with floaters (so bad I saw a retinal specialist a

few years ago--he was no help) and goo build-up all day. My eyes are

usually dry (eye doctor shrugs it off as Dry Eye Syndrome), so they

sense every little bit of goo there is, making it hard for me to keep

my hands away from removing it all the time.

The one page of info I found online about this said by the time a

reaction like I'm experiencing happens, long-term damage may have

been done by fungi growing through the eyeball. GROSS! My

grandfather, mother, and sister all have serious glaucoma with some

blindness. I don't want to end up like they are with candida-caused

blindness! All the article listed to help is antibiotic and anti-

fungal drops. Surely there is something natural I can do besides

dropping homemade (and probably improperly homemade) colloidal silver

into my eyes????

Thanks for any help y'all can offer!
