Guest guest
Wow, does this mean that if your an addict your not worthy of any medical attention? Because most addicts are in need of medical attention!!!! I didn't read it all yet, but when I started to see that if you abuse you lose thingy I got mad. Imagine that. Guest guest
Actually , the thinking behide no transplants for aperson who has not been clean and sober is that person might abuse again and ruin the transplanted organ and thier second chance at being healthy. There are lots of people waitingfor a transplant who already/ always were clean .http://facebook.com/people/andTrudy-Kinsey/1340460877 " "A well- behaved woman never made history"...Mae Westhttp://oktravels.wordpress.com http://allrecipes.com/cook/TrudyK/profile.aspx On Jan 6, 2011, at 11:17 AM, Sharon Mcdonald <sharonmcdonald95@...> wrote: Wow, does this mean that if your an addict your not worthy of any medical attention? Guest guest
Sharon,What this article is saying, and it's the God's honest truth, is that if you use drugs of any kind, smoke cigarettes or have an alcohol or substance abuse problem you are NOT a candidate for a transplant. Sad but true. This is why I was told that I would die on the waiting list for a new liver. And with the shortage of available organ donors, this is not likely to change. And our country is one of the few that does this. It's not a problem in Europe.Hugs,Teri On Thu, Jan 6, 2011 at 11:17 AM, Sharon Mcdonald <sharonmcdonald95@...> wrote: Wow, does this mean that if your an addict your not worthy of any medical attention?
