I'm Kathy, mother of Taliesen (Tally), aged 6, diagnosed with systemic

onset January 2000. I live in Clemson, SC along with my dog (Roy), cat

(), fish (lucky) and bird (rainbow). He's doing great....he's in the

1st grade and so far, so good. I'm praying I'm going to hear medicated

remission at the next appointment but I know how this disease so I hate to

get my hopes up.

Our home page is http://hometown.aol.com/akally/

Dayna, mother of (13). We are in Everett, WA. sees Dr.

Sherry at Children's Hospital in Seattle. She was diagnosed in

March with Systemic JRA. Also have a 5 1/2 yr. Old son, Deric. He may

be facing Type 1 diabetes. Found out yesterday.

What an adventure this is!

Re: ROLL CALL

Great idea, ! Since our humble beginnings at Onelist in 1998,

which then merged with Egroups, which then became ... our

JRA List group has grown to include approximately 273 members.

It sure would be nice to hear from some of the quieter list members,

too. Maybe this will present the opportunity for them to come out and

say hello :)

Thanks,

Georgina

Well, looks like I forgot some info too. One more time here. Lorie and

Bobby Belcher parents of

Liberty age 4 with poly JRA, dx in Feb of this year. We are finally getting

a handle on this for now and she has begun walking again. Yeah! Now we can

start with some therapy so that maybe she will walk straight. :o) Also 2

other children, boys, Jaden 21/2yrs, and 8 mos in great health. My

husband is often concerned about Jaden as he is always pointing to his knees

or ankles and saying " owie " and needing lots of kisses. I suppose the

whole thing with Liberty has made us a little nervous but right now I think

Jaden just needs some extra attention. Sweet boy. Must be hard to be the

healthy one. I know that sounds weird but I really think it must be true.

,

California Childrens services is a great state

service. I thankfully have excellent benefits through

my employment, but when I didn't they paid for

everything for christine. Now they cover anything my

insurance doesn't pick up. Like physical therapy, my

insurance will only pay for certain facilities, of

course the ones that do not deal with children,

therefore they are usually afraid to touch christine.

Who is your rhuemotologist? They are the ones that

got CCS involved with for me. They will

even pay for dental and orthodonture if it is related

to the disability. You can use some of the studies

that are posted here to get them to pay for that. My

personal email is kenandsuzie@... If you need

more information, I can get the phone numbers and

anything else you might need. It is a great

service!!!
