MarciaSorry; but, I believe that your case scenario is a little too out there!! The whole set of circumstances might have possibly happened in one case and thus there is no percentile. Nor is there anyway to actually figure that out in the 20 - 30 yrs it takes for the virus to cause someone discomfort.I believe that we also have a duty not to put the scare of gawd out there. Enough of that has already happened with this virus. There are even folks on this site that could go too far with worrying about such a set of circumstances. The fact remains, how we were infected just does not matter one iota!!!! When the rubber meets the road, the only thing that matters is fighting the

virus.Gloria

Donna, heres a little case scenario for you. The

UPS Guy who has hep c delivers a package. There

is a protruding extra large staple on the side in

which he punctures a deep cut on his had that

starts bleeding profusely. The virus will stay

alive for at least 4 days(info varies on this

from days to months). If one were to puncture

themselves on that same protruding extra large

staple, they to could get the virus. From what I

understand it must be a puncture. Cuts have a

tendency to bleed outward, so if infected blood

simply touches someone one, it is highly unlikely the virus will be spread.
