That hip pain just sucks doesn't it?  It happens to me in the grocery store or any store with cement floors.  I'm good for about 5 minutes and it doesn't matter which shoes I'm wearing it's gonna hurt.  We've been talking about getting the handicapped thing for the car.  God knows there are days I really need it.

I've actually been sleeping really well lately without any meds at night.. no clue how that is happening but it is.  I just haven't gotten around to calling in the stupid prescription.  But every night, about this time, and I'm yawning as I type this, I crawl in bed and I'm out for a good 10 hours.  Don't know why but I don't care why.  I'm sleeping!

And it makes sense that the Flexeril wouldn't help the elbow... it's a muscle relaxer and that there would be a joint!Hugs,TeriOn Thu, Dec 2, 2010 at 11:29 PM, Gloria <gadamscan@...> wrote:

TeriYup I knew that it was a pressure point.  It just seems funny that the meds are helping the Fibro by a great deal, except that one elbow.

Also, I have learned to be very careful with what I can and can not do.  Even the wrong pair of shoes could cause a bout with the pain.  Good thing it's winter now and I can wear my western boots.  They are the most comfortable things I wear except my sneakers in the summer that I slip in and out of.

I can't walk very far, without that horrible hip pain!!  So bad that I stop and sometimes can't help the tears.  Thus, I'm usually not very far from my truck.  Sometimes it embarrasses me, having a handicap placard, cause it won't seem to the

casual onlooker, what I suffer with.  They don't see that when I get out of my truck, I have to have a few seconds while everything settles into place.  Actually, even when I get up from this chair, it's good that I have things to hang onto, again while everything settles into place.

GloriaPS - another great reason about living in an RV.  Not a whole lot of rooms to have to walk into etc.

Oh, ya - that hip pain does suck!!!Just got back from the 12 hr round trip to Vancouver. On the ferry, I thought that I could at least walk up one flight of stairs - well, I just made it and had to stop at the top of course. Then we rounded the corner and there was another flight of stairs. No way I could do it!! Had to go back done and find the elevator. That's what is debilitating, isn't it?? I was never an exercise person; but, I could at least walk the normal distances. Now, there is no way. I learned 2 yrs ago that I could never be a foot passenger on a ferry. The distance one has to walk to get to the gate and then to the actual ferry is absolutely impossible for
