Hi,thanks so much, my friend is a apple tech,he is coming over tonight to set up my computer, as I told him about the migraines and things being too bright. He will also back it up as I am selling the computer soon so I don't have to fly back east with it when I go.Hugs, nyOn Dec 3, 2010, at 2:36 PM, mightysmom wrote:

ny,

I think this will let you change your screen for everything: Open your control panel. You will see an icon for accessibility options. Open that and select "screen". You can click on settings and get a drop down list of LOTS of ways to change the screen. You can try them and see what helps your eyes the most. Sometimes it is a wierd combination like a black screen with yellow letters.

You can also adjust the curser blink rate for the mouse so there is less flashing.

You can make all the fonts bigger by using "View" on your toolbar.

Also, make sure your screen is in the right place to be easiest on your eyes. Just search for "computer ergonomics" and you will get lots of sites that tell you how to set up a computer to decrease eye strain and repetitive use injuries.

I have a PC. If you use a Mac, the options should be there, I'm just not sure what they are called.

Hope that helps! (Hope it works too!!)
