Well Guys - I can tell you that if the ex-model was Canadian, she would already be rolling in a bit of dough.There was a class action suit against the government for those that received tainted blood between 1986 and 1990. That was the time that the Blood Banks already knew about and how to screen for HepC. But, they didn't and some folks even received Aids as well as HepC, because that blood was coming from the prison population.OK, I understand that class action and truly feel for those folks. However, then someone started another class action for Pre 1986 and Post 1990. So, that meant that anyone that could prove that they received blood, no matter when, they also were awarded a big chunk of

money. Now this one I don't understand. Someone gets a blood transfusion that helped save their lives and the HepC virus had not even been heard of yet - they get a pay off??? How could they or anyone else know for certain how they received their gift??? I used to be online with a number of folks that fit in on this one and could they ever get nasty!! I truly believe that they didn't care about anyone else on that site that didn't fall into that category. In fact, just after the cheques were being mailed out - the group went almost totally dead.I see where Don posted one of his articles, yesterday I believe and the lady that wrote it (Joan King) was another person that would not be getting any compensation. Yet, she works tirelessly on the HepC issues and even while her husband battles cancer.Gloria
