Guest guest
Trudy...... I am still hoping that the treatment drugs are affecting the tests. Your body went into this overly stressed mode before treatment started... What was his answer about the treatment causing the Kappa Light Chains? I... I just don't know. And yeah, I saw the mortality rates. Let's not jump the gun and think you have that just yet okay? I think I'd want more answers first... Deep breaths.... Guest guest
TrudyI am so sorry that this has come up for you!!! Are they sure that you actually have MM?? Really, I very well understand why you are scared!! Oh, how I understand!Today, while I was over in the city regarding my participation in this follow-up research that Vertex is doing, I asked the clinician if the Gastro might be there to talk with me about the liver cancer. He wasn't; but, the HepC nurse came in to talk. She said that she was actually at the meeting when they discussed my case and that it was agreed that nothing could be done until 3 months had passed since my last CT Scan. I did learn though that it is the surgeon that I will be dealing with from here on. His receptionist was actually going to call the local hospital, to set up my next CT. Then, I will be seeing him about the outcome. This nurse said that she actually spoke to my GP from here and was very impressed with her caring about this. Like I told her, I only have the best Drs.Trudy, it is perfectly understandable about you being scared!! Here you are, just barely keeping your head up with the tx and then you are slammed with this kind of news!! Wow lady, I hope that you have shed tears with your husband!!!Honestly, I try hard not to allow myself to just stay in bed and pull the blankets over my head!! In fact, I wasn't doing so great this past week or so. However, I picked up my great-niece on my way to Vancouver and she always can perk me right up. She's staying with me for a few days, so my mood will change I'm sure.I have a toll free number and if you EVER need to call, please don't hesitate!! If you want to be mad, then be mad. If you want to be sad, then be sad. If you want to cry, then cry. Anything. So my number is 1-877-450-6447. I'll get my son to fix the phone once again so that it actually rings. It's a Voip phone and we are still ironing out some bugs. But, if anyone calls, be sure to leave a message and at least it then goes straight to my e-mail. I love that part of this system.Trudy, call if there is anything I can do!!!Luv Gloria Well, saw Hdoc today. At first he was all positive about being undetectable at 4 weeks.
