Guest guest
501's are NOT old lady jeans! Hell I wish I could still wear them! They just look better on skinny folks! Or at least thinner people! I think I'd cry at lost youth if I put myself in a pair of 501's. Gosh, those were my favorite jeans ever.... I'm 52. And my hourglass shape has turned more humpty dumpty with age! Hugs,TeriOn Sat, Dec 4, 2010 at 10:41 AM, Marcia Weatherholt-Bernhardt <mwassoc@...> wrote: I had to laugh at this. Guest guest
so funny, I told my Clients we had a very strict dress code, " Blue jeans are required " . Got lots of laughs but allowed me to wear my 501's everyday! Funny they eagerly adhered to my policy and made most of our meetings fall on Casual Fridays.I did have to put on a suit when I went to their office though. Guest guest
Teri and MarciaI couldn't do the hippie scene because I was raised too responsible. It is definitely one of my regrets. However, I'd have a hard time to find and especially to wear a dress or a skirt. Oh, I think I have a couple of summer dresses packed away.Anyway, jeans are all I really wear!! Used to be that I'd get the stretch jeans though. Now that I have lost so much weight, the stretch jeans won't stay up. Soon, I'm going to have to go back to the good old Levi's.Gloria so funny, I told my Clients we had a very strict dress code, "Blue jeans are required". Guest guest
I was responsible too. Started my own company at the age of 23, was in business for over 30 years which allowed my early retirement in 2008. I think a lot of us were all fashionable hippies that jumped on the yuppie band wagon as soon as it arrived. Guest guest
MarciaA number of years ago, the Moody Blues began a come back tour and the first city after Red Rocks was , up here in Canada. I was beside myself with joy. So, down I go for the concert that was being held outdoors at one of the stadiums. My biggest shock was how many people were there and my second shock was realizing that they were all yuppies. In my crowd during my early 20's, it seemed that I was the only one that loved their music.Gloria I was responsible too. Guest guest
MarciaActually I have had those experiences for some time. My step-daughter and I were taking a trip together to the city. When she got into the car, she asked if she could put some of her own music on for awhile. She pops in a CD of the Rolling Stones!!! I started to sing along and she was stunned.Another time, one of my son's friends dearly wanted my "record" by Pink Floyd. I had really bad memories of Dark Side of the Moon, so of course, I happily gave him the record. Now, what I wouldn't give to be able to see The Eagles in concert!!! I really believe that I would die a happy person, if I got to actually be at their concert!Gloria Gloria, your going to laugh at this, my twenty-two year old son loves our music and has had us join him for concerts. Guest guest
My step-son is 21. Him and his dad listen to the same damn music. My son and Bruce listen to the same music. For Father's Day this past year, my son and Bruce's son, along with our two " adopted boys " all went to a concert together. They have done Scorpions, Rush, Grateful Dead, Blue Oyster Cult (I went to that one too). Can't remember the name of the group they saw on Fathers Day.. it's the group that has " Eddie " as the mascot... Damn brain fog. Guest guest
That's it! It was Iron Maiden! I have a pic of my husband and all his boys at this concert and it is totally priceless. A 52 year old man, a 35 year old man, two 30 year olds and a 20 year old. And they ALL had a blast! When I first met Bruce he told me his kids did something amazing... he wouldn't tell me what it was. When we were in the car one time he popped in a cassette with the song " American Pie " on it. His children were 6 and 8 at the time. They sang along and knew every single word. I was amazed. AND they knew what the song meant. It was unbelievable. He brought them up with a love of music and it has just blossomed. On Mon, Dec 6, 2010 at 12:13 PM, Marcia Weatherholt-Bernhardt <mwassoc@...> wrote: Iron Maiden’s Eddie Emacs!
