Cheryl,

lol, don't worry I won't be hanging around for results. Did I tell you that when he checked off the hiv on the medical form I saw it and said to the person taking blood that I aint gettin no AIDS test so don't do that and do the rest and she said she had to do what was exactly on the sheet. So I said see ya! I have to take baby steps. Just getting this out is the hard part tomorrow, then I don't know, the results, well, I might have to be lying down when I get them. Remember, the phobia, ugghhh By no means am I in a rush for anything, lol But thanks for letting me know!

I think he will probably find out what's going on then refer me. I still have to see if the hep C is still in my body, I haven't been tested in 10 years. But I know it is, so I am not expecting a miracle or anything.

As soon as I get back I will let everyone know.

thanks ttyl

Sharon,

Unless you are seeing a gastro or liver doctor tomorrow, they are not going to test you for anything other than Hep C. As soon as I was diagnosed after having a second blood test after the first one, then I was referred to a gastro and that doctor is the one who ordered the blood work that tells you your genotype, viral load, etc. They should also test you for HIV and Hep A & B. If they don't you need to request they do. If you are negative, I would recommend you be vaccinated against Hep A & B. That's what my doctor recommended to me and that's what I did. So don't get your hopes up that you are going to know your viral load and stuff like that tomorrow. This is just the beginning of the process, of lots of doctor's visits. LOL

Tomorrow is week 20 for me, I was telling my daughter if I was doing the new tx I would only have 4 weeks to go!! Instead I have 28 LOL But I am giving it all I have, it's tough but you can do it.

Good luck tomorrow, I will be thinking about you!!

Huggsss

SharonPlease try to enlighten me again, about why you would refuse an AIDS test?? I mean, obviously you don't have Aids; but, why would you run from learning that information. You already knew you had HepC and you don't realize that if you had both, you probably would have already have died. You see, I'm the type that wants all the facts laid right out in front of me. No pussy footing around! Did it not ever occur to you that because your husband was doing such high-risk behaviour, that it should have been automatic??Gloria

Gloria,

Yes, that is why. But I am sure when they gave my son his blood work they would have tested for HIV so I would think I don't have it. It's just the phobia. I think I have everything wrong with me. Or someone put it in my head that hep c is the next thing to aid. Doy, really well are you an m.d. i should have said.

I am going to get tested for HIV just to get it off my mind. Why would I have been dead by now if I had both? Just asking tx

SharonIt's a deadly combination to have AIDS and HepC!!! Not many people that get diagnosed with both have the stamina to go through the many drugs that it takes for some hope of kicking both. Gloria
