Guest guest
You paid into it previously so go for it. It's not like unemployment where you need those points to draw. Just apply again, I am pretty sure you can do it online.. I just had to go thru the appeals process but I didn't have to jump thru any hoops at all. I made sure they had info from ALL of my doctors and they were fine with that. The attorney only charges you if you win and it's a set amount. Like around 5 grand.. less if you don't get that much in a back payment. But yep, I'd apply. You have enough that you might get it right away even. Would I be able to apply cuz I don't have points anymore since it's been so long. If I can, this time I will hire an attorney to deal with it and I will just have to jump thru their hoops like seeing drs, etc. I applied once and got denied. We had just moved my mother up here from Idaho to Wa. and I was so busy with getting her settled and set up for medical care that I didn't continue with the appeal process before the time allowed to do it ran out. Since then my back has gotten worse, dx'd with fibro, restless leg and HCV and had the spinal fusion in my neck. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Guest guest
Thanks Teri. I've kinda figured I still could and will go thru a lawyer because I get overwhelmed so easily anymore which makes me very frustrated with myself. > > > > > > > I haven't worked for probably close to 14 yrs. Guest guest
Jan L. Kodner & Associates53 W Blvd. # 515 Chicago, IL 60604-3430Phone: (312) 922-6688kodnerlaw@...Here you go Debbie.. He practices EVERYWHERE and he is one of the best in the business. He made my claim so easy that when we got to court, the judge had already reviewed my case and I had to answer 2 questions.. my name and my address. He also got the court date pushed up by several months. We had an answer before leaving the courtroom instead of having to wait for a decision by mail. The guy is amazing.
