They didn't want to wait, they are sitting me up with a hemotologist(sp). Now I don't belive going to a hemo is ever a GOOD thing! So look up " kappa light chain " . They didn't explain, only that mine is elevated. Teri & Gloria, I need y'alls voice of reason so I don't spiral into panic mode. It's just a blood doctor. And personally, I think they are reaching here. Kappa Light Chain sounds like a stretch. They are probably just trying to rule it out. At this point you are just along for the ride so go with it. There is no reason to panic, they are looking for trees to bark up. Explanations if you will. When you start looking for explanations all sorts of anomalies pop up and they need to put each one to bed. I personally feel better knowing they are looking. This doesn't necessarily mean anything bad is going on... just that for some reason your light chains are elevated. It's more than likely just from treatment. BREATHE. But everything I am finding has it associated with kidney issues.... I'm trying to second guess over here and that's not usually a good thing.
