Guest guest
Steve... you forgot the word of the weekend... CURED. Guys, there is a guy in this group that went thru treatment 8 times... 8. The last one was the winner but can you imagine going thru this treatment 8 times? He is my hero. I've been a little lax the last few days, have been checking in to make sure nothings burning, but I haven't stopped to welcome anyone, so now that's done. Ok, the updates...Teri and I just wrapped up in Boston, actually I'm in the Seattle airport right now waiting for my shuttle so this kid can get home and in bed!We have some restraints about what we can talk about now, but we were completely impressed with the compassion and drive we saw in Boston, from the representatives of both Vertex and Snow Companies. I am confident that we're making progress in the good fight. It was so humbling to be part of a group of survivors and support people of that calibre. Both the pharma and Snow Co employees were a bit floored by how fast our group gelled. We all had a common story, but every one was different, and it was heart breaking to hear what some folks have gone through to slay the dragon. Just know there's big changes just over the horizon, folks. We're going to be able to advocate, educate and help others slay the dragon. The new drugs that are in the pipeline are the first real progress in treatment SOC in over ten years, and those changes are very exciting! Glad to be back!SteveLife is much more fun when thought of as a scavenger hunt as opposed to a surprise party. Jimmy Buffett
