Hi Jen

YES - HCV can be transmitted via a cats claws from one person to another.

- Do not let the cat draw blood from you.

I have been around cats all my life, and have often wondered if that was how I got infected.

The virus can stay alive for 4-10 days, and kittens do not lick themselves clean like an adult cat.

Regaurdless what the info says, cats claws are just tiny needles - perfect to spread something like HCV.

Please be careful.

Jen, you are on Daily Digest.

I have tried over and over this year to get people to change the SUBJECT LINE of they change the subject of their posts.

Not much luck with it yet tho.

If you go to the MESSAGE section of the groups menu you can find the messages that you find in DD.

They will be numbered and dated.

The messages in the MESSAGE section are presented in the order that they are posted.

I think that in DD though, the messages are presented by SUBJECT LINE, but I could be wrong.

I havent ever really checked it out.

In a way, DD is a great thing, but in other ways - like following a train of conversation - it can be difficult.

I do know what you are talking about, but I dont know of any solution roght off the top of my head.

love

Two quick questions:1. I have a new kitten and she can dig her claws in. I just noticed two little dried blood specks on my arm. If no one comes in contact with that, it won't transfer. But what about my kittens nails and digging into my son or daughters or someone else when they are here? The info I just research would indicate it is not likely to contaminate someone else, but I worry about it.2. Can someone give me a heads up on how these posts are transmitted and are numbered. I can't tell by time, always how things are being processed, and it makes following conversations a bit difficult. I'm sure I will get used to it, but thought there may be some more practical way to follow conversations or strands. Maybe it is my system???I'm at home today catching up on some grading ... I teach two university courses in addition to my regular work ... I'm getting behind. But it is fall break and I am enjoy the

restfulness of a warm, sunny afternoon while catching up. Be in peace.Jen------------------------------------
