Viral Load and Alternative treatments

Hi. My son has been dx with Hepatitis C, genotype 3. He may still be in the

acute part of the illness. My son had a viral load of 1,500,000 the first time

he was tested. He was very unhealthy and I began having him eat really good and

giving him Selenium, Alpha Lipoic Acid and Milk Thistle. One month later his

viral count is down to 800,000. Is that a big jump? I know that the viral

count results can go up and down each time you have them done. His viral count

went down by almost half and that seems really good, but I am new at this.

Has anyone tried anything like the Gerson Therapy for Hepatitis C and if so did

you see any results? My son's doctor wants him to start Interferon. I am

really nervous about the Interfuron though. My son is also bipolar and is

stable now. I have researched and bipolar people often have many problems from

Interferon.
