Guest guest
nyI personally found that Advil Liquid Gels worked absolutely the best for me. Even the "no name" brands. However, my Dr. was not overly happy because apparently too many of them can upset the high blood pressure. Hopefully she'll remember that I really don't have high blood pressure and only take the meds because I have a high pulse rate. Yet, she also has told me that they wouldn't hurt me unless I got addicted, like I did to Tylenol years back.Gloria Hi Teri, thanks, ran out of vicodin, can't get more:(been taking alieve, but not really helping.nyFrom: Theresa Gottlieb <theresagottlieb@...> Sent: Wed, November 10, 2010 3:32:16 AMSubject: Re: [ ] headaches-safe meds ny, you can take some Tylenol just not a lot. Guest guest
Hi Gloria, thanks I might have to try the advil. I see all the headache meds having warnings on them for the liver now, but I guess if you only take a few of them they are not bad. Too many of them might be not too good. You can get addicted to Tylenol?thanks,nyFrom: Gloria <gadamscan@...> Sent: Thu, November 11, 2010 7:01:04 PMSubject: Re: [ ] headaches-safe meds nyI personally found that Advil Liquid Gels worked absolutely the best for me. Guest guest
Actually ny - I could get addicted to just about anything. I am a recovering alcoholic that thought I had a headache steady for about 15 yrs. Then I came to find out, I had the Tylenol headache. In other words, it was a vicious cycle!! I had a headache, took Tylenol and didn't realize that I was really suffering from a Tylenol withdrawal headache.I really believed when I was first diagnosed with the HepC, that it was a false/positive and really was the Tylenol. However, I certainly quit the Tylenol immediately upon learning about the virus. To this day, I truly believe that I really did a whole lot of damage to my liver with that addiction. At the least, it hastened the damage that the HepC was doing. Now I have learned that most headaches etc. can be treated with at least a glass or more of water! Personally, I'm lousy at drinking water; but, I know it will help.Gloria Hi Gloria, thanks I might have to try the advil. Guest guest
Hi,WOW! I know no idea about this. I too used to drink a lot scotch was my think, on top of lots of drugs. I think for me this made the virus spread faster. Before I found out, my body was a waste land, i have been 100% clean for 1 year now if only I could stop smoking!Everybody tells me, I have the headaches because I am de hydrated, but now I drink so much water, doctor's orders, but still they are so bad. when I ask what else could cause them I hear it can be hundreds of things, but nobody can give a list. This is why I get so crazy at the doctors and health care workers here, if there are so many things that can cause a headache, there should be a list. I mean if I break my arm, will I start getting migraines on a daily basis, I don't think so.thanks,nyFrom: Gloria <gadamscan@...> Sent: Thu, November 11, 2010 8:30:58 PMSubject: Re: [ ] headaches-safe meds Actually ny - I could get addicted to just about anything. Guest guest
My two cents for whatever it is worth!! Perhaps the headaches are because your body is still detoxifying from the treatment. It could take months for all those meds to clear out of your body. It's another good idea to drink the water, so that the system could flush them through.Gloria Hi,WOW! I know no idea about this.
