Hello Don,

wow - thanks so much for all the info! I will spend some time looking away around, and exploring some exciting news.

I am so glad to hear that about the protease inhibitor, I would definitely give it another shot as I remember how I felt when I didn't have hep, it was awesome.

So it would be worth another try to just have my fatigue lessened and my old energy level back or at least part of it. I also try and stay away from all the meats, and fried or real fatty foods, it really wasn't that much of change for as I feel like I have been on a diet my whole life... LOL but true.

I have always had to watch my diet carefully, it feels like I can just look at food and gain a pound.

I too smoke, I want to quit, I just haven't done it yet, I always find some flimsy excuse not too. It's always next month, or worse yet, maybe next week...

I guess I will , when I finally make up my mind to.

As far as living in Kansas - my history in this little "Payton Place",(that's what I like to refer to it as,) goes back a long time ago, and I moved away in 1990, lived in the Colorado Rockies for 15 years - so I am spoiled - and was extremely hard to come back a few years ago.

However, I came to be closer to my grandkids - so it was well worth it. At least your fairly close to a big city - I have to go 4 hours to Wichita, and 3 hours to Amarillo..

Oh well, enough of my complaining - your right, about home is where the heart is....

Again - thanks for all the info, I can't wait to go through it..

HOpe you have a wonderful Sunday

Mine is actually going great - my Chiefs kicked butt....

GO CHEIFS !!!!!

May God Bless you and yours,

Hi

The new med - 'Telaprevir' [Protease Viral Inhibitor] - is supposed to be available sometime in 2011.

They are wrapping up the results of the clinical trials, and waiting on the AMA for approval.

This will be used in addition to the Inf/Riba combo in treatment.

It has been touted as doubling responce rate, cutting treatment time, and helping previous non-responders to clear.

As a giant step forward for genotype 1's. [i am a 1B.]

If all this is true, it may be a major step forward in helping Heppers everywhere.

There are lots of other things in the pipeline.

Some have nothing to do with the Inf/Riba combo which is all we have had to look forward to for over 10 years.

Big Pharma is really going after a cure.

Theres bunches more too. This is just a few.

Hopefully there will be something so everyone can reach SVR, and not suffer too bad trying.

I was doing several sups and vitamins, but I fell off the wagon a while ago.

I try to stay away from pork, red meats, organ meats, fried and fatty foods, sugars, dairy, glutton, spices, salts, and preservatives.

Note that I say - try. Some days just getting food in me, any food, is a chore.

I rarely exercise, and I smoke tobacco - both real bad for me.

Ive found that depression in me is a major hinderance in taking better care of myself.

This could be key to most people too, as why they dont live better....and longer.

About living in Kansas....havent you heard - 'home is where the heart is'.???

Ive lived everywhere. Its all the same. Both good and bad.

Your either happy and content with what you have, or your not.

Moving wont resolve this....in my opinion.

Besides, Dorothy is kinda sexy, and Toto licks my feet. LOL :-)

Just funnin....

Hang in there my friend.

love
