My artificial heart valve is 19, my ICD is almost 5 and I exercise everyday. An echo done a month ago indicated that my EF went from 45 to 55. The nurse thought it was the medicine. I think it is either the exercise or poor calculations or one or both echo tests. LOL No matter, it was good news. I can't explain why the group went silent. I hope it means that all is well or everyone but I suspect that is not the case. I have gotten used to the quirks of my ticker. Or at least accept them. Why do I get chest pains when walking outside but not on a treadmill or cutting the grass? Life is a mystery! They removed the one lead device. He had a bout of heart failure about 3 weeks ago and since then has had some low heartrates. Hopefully the new device will improve his heart function. Unfortunately due to some vein problems, he had to have it implanted on the right side of his chest instead of where the other one was. So now he has two wounds and feels " doubly " sore.
