Guest guest
Deb,I'm not sure why, but I thought you already were on this group....?As for the new treatment your doctor has mentioned to you, it's an additional drug that goes along with the Interfuron and Ribavirin. With the addition of the third drug the hope is that more people will be able to clear. If you are allergic to the Interfuron, this new protocol won't be of much help. I know they are working on other methods but currently and in the near future the only treatments around include Peg-Interfuron and Ribavirin.Hugs,TeriMOVE ON. It's just a chapter in the past, but don't close the book. Just turn the page. From: debra_zuckerwise <DebraZ949@...> Sent: Thu, October 14, 2010 5:54:38 AMSubject: [ ] Re: Patient Ambassadors for Hepatitis C Hello Pam, I just joined this group, as the Hep C site that was my home group went kaput (HepperPad). I wasn't getting much out of it, and I was referred to this group, which I can see has a fellowship of winners and lovers, supporters and carers. That's what I need. I am "allergic" to Interferon. My very first tx lasted only four months, as the doctors took me off due to crucial side effects (do not wish to mention, as not to "scare" anyone. It worked 'till it stopped working for me, that's just me story \ yikes. So, yes Pam, I am awaiting for this new drug that my doc says is coming out. Yet I worry because if it indeed has Interferon or Ribavirin in it, I just cannot do. Any other suggestions? All comments very welcome. And p.s., it's grrreat to be here; I feel at home already. Thank you all. Hepper love and hugs, Deb Z. > > I have spoken with this company and there will be various programs that someone might qualify for. Talking with other patients, participating with market research questions, sharing you story in print, sharing your story with one other patient, being on a Board of Hep C Ambassadors, etc. There are all types of programs they are trying to create so please sign up!
