Guest guest
Diane, Yes, has pauci. She has been symptom free for abot 6 or so months? It's hard to tell because she is so young yet to totally verbalize her pain. Teri
Guest guest
hi teri, glad to see u again and hear good news. i also took psychology in college. i loved it and it was one of my 2 best subjects. the other was expository writing, the bad thing was that i was an information systems tech and computer programmer. weird, goodluck to you and congrats on your news, brandy _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com
Guest guest
HI.Glad to be back but how is the JOB.Willem. I'm back Hi everyone....I'm back... Just spent three weeks fighting an awful boot sector virus but that was one virus I was able to beat. I've missed everyone and hope everything is going well with those on TX and those who didn't respond. And congratulations to anyone who responded while I was offline. Even though I have insurance now (but of course they don't cover pre-existing conditions for a year), I'm still returning to County to get my lab results. They ran a PCR and this will be the first time I'll learn my viral load since I was on tx. My appointment is Tuesday and who knows, maybe I can get on the Peg through them. Read somewhere that Roche is recruiting for a study of people who didn't respond to the Peg. They are going to put them on Pegysus and see if they respond. Wouldn't that be wonderful if Pegasys proved to be more effective than Peg Intron. And I have a friend who is waiting for a trial study of protease inhibitors at Rush Hospital in Chicago. The study is due to start in November. Interesting that the two countries out of the US seem to be moving along much faster with Hep C treatments than Schering Plough. Off to the vet with one of my guys but wanted to pop in and say hi. Still installing apps on my computer but finally my mail is up and running. Guest guest
Thanks for the welcome back, Willem.... The job is going great and I like it...and it seems they like me and my work. Been there since the 7th and so far I don't see any downsides to the job. It's with a spiffy small PR firm and I crank from the time I get to work until I leave so the days just fly by. But I'm sure glad to be back online...I've missed everyone. How are you doing, Willem...are you considered a sustained responder now? Liefs, Tatezi I'm back Hi everyone....I'm back... Guest guest
Hi Tatezi, So glad you found a position you enjoy and it sounds like it in your area of expertise. Your a very special person and its about time your luck changed. I started Pegasys finally, had my 2nd shot last Thursday and already itching ! It has not been too bad though. .1st shot the worst, and that was just flu like aches and fever but slept through most of it. 2nd shot same thing but less aches. I am really really tired but glad that I am addressing this. I drink a lot of water 80oz or more a day and I can tell it helps a lot with the sides. Hope you can get on the pegasys soon. Guest guest
Thanks, Sharon. I'm envious of you starting pegysus. But my turn will come. But I'm sorry you are dealing with side effects...maybe that means it will work for you. And drinking lots of water is the key to easing those side effects. Good luck and keep in touch! Guest guest
Hey Tatezi- Glad to hear things are going well for you. I was wondering how you liked your new job and was going to query you about it this am-that is why I am quiet on the weekends. I am currently subscribed through work as home dial-up is so sloooowwww and I get so much spam. But I will probably be changing back to home as work is clamping down on personal use of the e-mail system. Sigh... gail I'm back Hi everyone....I'm back... Guest guest
Hi Gail... Yep, the new job is good...and I sure they like me as much as I like them. Interestingly enough, today I was browsing the server looking for a client folder. Came across a folder named Roche and inside the folder were various different folders...one being pegasys. We are the PR firm for Roche. I read the press releases that I had received through the Hep C Info group and they were word for word because of course I copied them and brought them home to compare. The gal who handles the account said they are gearing up to do a big Hep C and Pegysys awareness thing in Cleveland OH...have even hired that ex Beach Boy who has Hep C and is now on Pegasys to promote it. I told her that one of the saddest things I had found was how many people won't do treatment because all they hear are horror stories...they never hear anything from the folks who breeze through treatment with minimal sides. Now wouldn't it be a nice perk if this job decided to have me do pegasys at Roche's expense to become a spokesperson? Okay, I'm dreaming but dreams don't hurt anything at all. Anyway, it's good to be working and I even have a fall back job with the grassroots organization I'd been temping with. They made a counter offer but had shitty insurance. I had a long talk with the Executive Director about why benefits were so important to me and she told me that I could come back there to work anytime. So I'm feeling pretty secure at this point in time. How is everything with you other than your job about to cut off personal email? Tatezi I'm back Hi everyone....I'm back... Guest guest
Sounds great for you-! I'm OK, I have this weekend off so I will be wrestling with my home computer...sigh. I have to back-up my music and some pics and then re-load software. I had been crawling around with a partially crippled OS system (a failed upgrade to OS10 on a 1999 i-Mac), and then finally just started using my computer at work for email and internet usage. Originally, we were allowed to do this on off hours, now that is changing. So back to the turtle home dial-up. The only high speed in my area is satellite and that goes out too much-couldn't afford it anyway. I am still contemplating treatment-the pros and cons (last round gave me permanently dry eyes) and whether or not I can do it and still work the hours that I do. Ah well, life is all about decisions. gail Re: I'm back Hi Gail... Yep, the new job is good...and I sure they like me as much as I like them. Guest guest
Wow, I can't imagine going back on dialup. Ofcourse I did for a while when unemployed but then SBC came out with their $29.99 deal for a year and I jumped on that. Course I do a lot of graphics and belong to graphics groups so always have large files coming in and going out. Dry eyes...you saved me with the eye stuff you sent me during my hard times. And to this day I continually use drops so I guess that my dry eyes will be permanent too. It is very annoying. I'm going back on treatment without hesitation. And if it doesn't work again this time I'll try and try again. Willem is my inspiration...don't ever give up. Tatezi I'm back Hi everyone....I'm back... Guest guest
Wow, I can't imagine going back on dialup. Ofcourse I did for a while when unemployed but then SBC came out with their $29.99 deal for a year and I jumped on that. Guest guest
Mike, [ I need to have 2 wisdom teeth pulled because they have become infected and I am afraid it might spread to my blood and really become a problem. I will try some antibiotics first to try to get rid of the infection. Anyone had dental problems during treatment? ] Dental problems? Oh god, yes... I finished treatment October 2002... now, I need periodontist work that is gonna be spread out over two long years, in combination with the dentist doing stuff all at the same time... It sucks bad... Guest guest
HI Mike, Good to see you and hear your good news on being undetected!! As for teeth problems, Yep I did have them. I had to have 3 teeth pulled just after I finished the Peg. It figures that if this stuff affects our bones, and it does, it would affect our teeth bones too. I would definitely get on the antibiotics for those wisdom teeth and get them pulled as soon as you can! Hang in there. You are doing great and should have a terrific Thanksgiving without treatment!!!! LeighAnn
Guest guest
Before we were to start on the HaltC trials we had to go to the dentist and have any problems corrected. That was part of the mandatory protocols. I guess maybe the regular doctors aren't aware of the potential for infection with the lower immune response. > I haven't been here for a little over a year now..... Wow.... a lot of stuff has happened over the past year. After months of dealing with all the bs in trying to get treatment, I finally started on Pegasys/Rebetol 1/3/2003. The first shot was awful, but the sides dereased as time went on..... 'till about 6 weeks went by. My hemoglobin had gone down to 9.2 and I had to stay horizontal so I wouldn't pass out. Thanks to Procrit, I bounced back rather quickly. I tested undetectable for the virus in March...... this news gave me a mental boost. I am well past the 1/2 way point, and take my last shot on 11/28. I stll have sides such as nausea, arthritic pain, and now I seem to be getting weaker as time passes. The treatment has been hard on my system. I need to have 2 wisdom teeth pulled because they have become infected and I am afraid it might spread to my blood and really become a problem. I will try some antibiotics first to try to get rid of the infection. Anyone had dental problems during treatment? I am glad to see many familiar peeps still in here... I look forward to keeping up with you guys in a more timely manner in the future.. Best, mike
Guest guest
> > I've been gone for about 6 months, because I was well again, but now I went back to my old eating patterns and am sick again. > Looking for some support. > This time it is affecting my lungs, I keep getting major lung infections, coughing up green stuff now. > Yuck, Gonna try the anti candida thing again since it worked so well for me before and I also lost a lot of weight on the diet too, but gained it all back now. Also was recently on 3 antibiotics for lung infections so I know candida is back with a vengance. +++Hi Mia. As you probably figured out, you must continue to consume " proper nutrients " in order to maintain life-long health, and eliminate toxins and damaging foods as described on my program. So after you felt good, if you went back to a poor diet with modern foods, you will get sick again and again. There are Four Reasons Health Fails: 1. Lack of proper nutrition and oxygen. 2. Accumulation of toxins, poisons, and waste. 3. Lowered vitality due to stress, shock, injury, emotional upsets, relationship or financial worries and concerns, etc. 4. Nutritional status inherited from your parents upon conception. Also, natural antibiotics do not cause the damage, making candida overgrow, etc. like antibiotic drugs. For the lungs, garlic tea is very effective. I cured pneumonia with it in the 1970s after being on 2 rounds of antibiotics. The best in health, Bee
