Gloria,It's actually being widely used for nerve pain and now Fibromyalgia. I took it after tx for almost a year. I had big lumps at the injection sites from my pro-crit shots and they hurt like crazy. They immediately put me on Neurontin, or gabapentin for that. I wound up taking rather large dosages of it but I would always get better results with a narcotic drug like Vicodin or Norco. Not a big Neurontin fan. TeriI guess that I am very grateful that these little muscle relaxants that I'm using seem to be working for me. Cept, I'm going to ask the Dr. if I can up them to 4 per day instead of 3. Right now I'm getting break through Fibro cycles and of course, the worst place of all is the knees. Now, I'm going to go and look up these pills, in order to quiet any worry that they could hurt my liver.Gloria

Gloria,i could use a prescription for Flexeril about now. I've had a new symptom pop up within the past few weeks. It's like an electric jolt right behind my knees. Damn near takes me down every time. It's definitely an electrical type pain, really strange too. Right in the back of my knee... damn thing smarts too! And it can happen if I'm standing or sitting or laying in bed, it doesn't discriminate. It's an equal opportunity pain in the ass.Hugs,Teri From: Gloria <gadamscan@...> Sent: Tue, September 14, 2010 11:39:35 PMSubject: Re: [ ] Galapertin

TeriThat doesn't sound like a whole lot of fun!! One day it's going to come on while you are navigating stairs or something. My right knee even can wake me from my sleep. It's telling me to straighten it out. However, when I do, it almost feels like the joint is bone on bone.Another reason I want the Dr. to up these pills, is because of the morning pain. You know, that trying to straighten everything and it's painful. First my legs, then my hands!! Sometimes, I'm not so steady on my feet until I've made it to the bathroom. Then of course, I take 2 of those pills and I tend to be pretty good for several hours. However, until our Fair Pharmacare Plan switches me over to being rated for my lack of income, I can't afford

these pills unless my hubby pays for them. Truthfully, I think he's feeling pretty much like the jerk that he was and doesn't say much about giving me a few extra bucks. Especially since he hasn't managed to get a mortgage yet and so he hasn't bought me out.Now I'm going to look up these muscle relaxants and complete my Pharmacare Assistance forms.Gloria

Trudy,Flexeril is a muscle relaxer and should help. You probably need some Norco as well. Norco is Vicodin without as much Tylenol in it. When all else fails, go to the standard pain meds which is what that combo is. I tell the docs I don't want the fancy newfangled stuff just the old stand bys that I KNOW work. You won't have the crazy side effects either. Hope it helps sweetie.Hugs,Teri Sent from my Verizon Wireless PhoneFrom: trudykinsey@... <trudykinsey@...>Sent: Wednesday, September 15, 2010 12:43 AM < >Subject: Re: [ ] Galapertin let me know what they are.
