Hi ,

I do remember you, and I know where you are coming from. I went through alot during my recovery.

I have sent your letter to a woman I used to know in California who has recovered, and I asked her if she could write to you. Please let me know if you hear from her, her name is .

5 months is not a very long time after explant. You are right, everyone heals a little differently, depending on their toxic load, and what they have been exposed to as well as genetics, so it is hard to say just how long it will take to feel better. I do remember even 18 months after explant, I had times where I felt like I was dying. My immune system just took a very long time to recover, and in fact, my most recent blood test showed that I still have an elevated rheumatoid factor, although it has come down, way down from where it was before. So, I know that I am healing. It is just a process that takes time for me, and for many women.

One thing that I did that I know helped me to feel better greatly was "water only fasting", and juice fasting, and doing the "Master Cleanse". There was a turning point for me in October of 1999. I had felt horrible during the summer of 1999, and this was 18 months after explant. I was at the end of my rope, as I had been through amalgam removal, chelation therapy, hyperbaric oxygen therapy and spent tons of money on supplements, and I just didn't know what else to do. I had also fasted the year before under the supervision of a naturopath for a 5 day period followed by a 10 day period, and then did no more fasting. In October 1999 one of the ladies on Ilena's group invited anyone who wanted to take part in a Master Cleanse fast for 8 days to do it together. I joined in, and I felt so much better after the fast that I decided to get on a regular fasting program. I had read books by Dr. Fuhrman and Bragg about fasting, and I knew it was supposed to be a very promising and effective detoxing remedy. It was after I had done several fasts in the fall and winter of 1999 that I really began to heal well. Joint pain disappeared completely after only 3 days of fasting. I enjoyed more progress in my health during the year 2000, although I definitely did have some bad days. But overall, it seemed that my series of fasts have helped the most. They help get out the toxic wastes much more readily--I saw it on my breasts! My last fast was the first time I have fasted without any sign of toxic rash on my breasts in 3 years, so I know things are improving.

You can get better, . You have to take control of your healing and learn all that you can about healing therapies, and detoxing, which I know you are doing. I know how hard it is to be patient, but remember, your immune system has to get "de-programmed". It takes time for these cells to be replaced. Eventually, your immune system will recover, but it can be helped immensely by avoid allergens and foods that your body is reacting to, and by removing any viruses, fungus, parasites and bacteria that shouldn't be there. Fasting helps your body to get rid of this stuff, as your digestive system will take a break and your other bodily systems can take over and do a spring cleaning. That freed up energy has to go somewhere! I find that fasting makes me feel really light on my feet and feel good.

I am pretty well recovered to the point that I can live like I used to in almost every way. I can drive, dance, run, play with the kids, and do all that I used to do. There is one difference, however, and that is that I don't have quite the stamina that I used to. I mean, I used to be able to stay up until 2 am if I wanted to, but I no longer can do that. I need my sleep for sure, and I am usually ready for bed by 9 pm. I sleep very soundly and I need my full 9 hours most nights. Occasionally I can stay up until 12 midnight, but there are many nights that there is no way I can do that. But, I don't really mind. I was never much of a partier anyway.

I am very thankful for how much I have healed. I know a number of women who are better, but have not stayed with any implant support group and I am sure they are out there, just enjoying life. But, it is very evident that there are probably just as many women who are struggling to feel better, and it is just a matter of time. I surely thought that I would be better before a year was up, as I only had my implants for 9 months total. Everyone told me that I would get better quickly because I got them out so fast and had them such a short time. NOT! It didn't make any difference to my immune system, because the implants just totally whacked it out. Before that, I had such awesome health--a health freak really, and I had not been sick with any flu, cold or bug for over 10 years. My illness from the implants seemed to come on literally overnight, and I was never the same since.

I don't want to discourage you in any way, but the truth is for me that I am way, way better than I was, and it has taken me 3 years to get here. My only complaint is the occasional brain fog, but that is getting better and better as I have added more herbal supplements to my daily routine. And truthfully, I have not even been eating as well as I should be. I could be eating alot more fruits and veggies than I am.

I hope this encourages you. I am glad you are doing the alternative therapies--this is your safest and most promising treatment for recovery. I truly believe that those who use prescription drugs are damaging their livers further and not allowing their body the chance to heal itself. Keep up the alternative therapies you are doing, and if you are inclined, try the fasting for 3 days.

Let me know if this helps you!

I know you can get better.

Hugs,

Patty
