Hi Karma, Hi Everyone,

I just wanted to let you all know that I am indeed a member of this list and I'm very much here. I read the messages daily. I am on digest because I am on way too many lists and don't have time to read emails all day long. But, I wanted to let you know that I am indeed still on the list.

Also, I emailed the person (sorry I forgot the name) that was asking questions about Breaking Out of Food Jail privately. I'm glad you answered her questions too Karma. I love hearing other people's stories and successes.

Have a Great Day,

NS

Hi ,

I am so sorry about your brother. Please know that I will pray for

you and your family during this difficult time. Sometimes we can't

make sense of why things happen, but talking about it does definitly

help.

On a brighter side, Congratulations on your size 12!!!! 28 lbs is

fantastic!!!!

Hi ,

It's good to hear from you. How wonderful that you're moved into your new

house. I'm glad for you. Have fun decorating it.

Congratulations on your weight loss! You must be feeling pretty good

about that. I'm proud of you. :-)

Please don't apologize for talking about your brother. You need to talk

about him. It's part of the healing process. You and your family have

been through so much and it's going to take some time to feel better

about all this. You can talk all you want too about him, I'm listening.

I'm still praying for all of you.

Love, Liz

Thank you all for your lovely words, it is nice to be out here, finally. Monday night we sat out on the deck and watched the sun go down and the stars come out. It is so beautiful to sit and watch God's handiwork. So I sat and enjoyed big breaths of the fresh, cool air and enjoyed the night. Keep breathing!! W from Oz

Hi Dawn: I had a year like that too--maybe a little different, but I

also backtracked about 30 pounds (more than I have ever gained in my

life! and more than I ever weighed, by far!). I completed one

challenge in 2001 and then everything fell apart. I moved, changed

jobs, had to put my Mom in a nursing home, have a great new man in my

life, etc. But it was a very stressful year. Now things have settled

into a nice routine and I walk to work and back every day. I started

C2 at the beginning of this week. Over the past six months I lost 10

pounds and now have lost a few more (I did one practice week of the

challenge before my official start!) I am already noticing differences

and it is only been 10 days.

Good luck with your new Challenge. Good to see you back with the

group.

Hey Dawnn!

I used to commute three hours a day to/from work too. It was horrible-

-nothing I'd ever do again no matter what.

Good luck this next week! I know you can do this--you know you can do

this--so make it happen!!

Good luck at your new job too :)

I'm so sorry. Hope you are feeling better.

I thought I had written to you, but as I looked over the messages

(trying to catch up) I noticed it didnt make it. Maybe thats a good

thing... I was so angry that he could treat you like that.

Hope things have settled down for you, you need a break!

Hang in there!

> I am here . I am here. Many days I grapple with my

physical afflictions better than others. We all spent Christmas Eve

om Omaha/Coincil Bluffs due to the death of his last livimg aunt.

Leone had been ill and bedfast for quite some time, but it was hard

to lost the last of her generation all the same. We flew home the

same day lest there be no seats left. The rest of Lennnie's extended

family will arrive by long car trip tp celebrate the Seaspon a bit

late. I prayGod grant me the strength I will need to accomplish this

seemingly impossibilie task. Oh Sisters! I ask not pity, only

compassion and true understanding. Specifically, I need for my

husband to " GET " my illnesses and the limitation that go along with

them. He seems to think that I can and should function as I did

several years ago in every possible way. Well, I can't.....not

without a miricle from God on High. It is with great shame that I

tell you, my dearest trusted ssisters, I have even literally

assused " of using your illness " ......oh! My shame is so great,

sisters! Lennie has NEVER struck me with his hands. Buy his words

are even more terrible weapons which leave marks, briuises. amd scars

opon my heart which no one but God can see. I feel that I could do

1000 things very right, but make one innocent, human mistake which

would certainly wipe away the many good things I did, most of which

he never even noticed. If I struggle with my poor motor control and

drop a glasss, breaking it....I know with certainty that " fire " will

rain down upon my head. If I push my body way to far in an heroic,

valiant effort to try to please, to " be the way I used to be " .....and

almost certainly faint and sustain some injury in the process......he

is always angry at me for it as though it is my fault and something I

did just to inconvenience him. He takes no responsibility for the

overworked, nervous wreck, physically fragile person I have become.

The kids have told me that more than once when I passed out in the

floor, my husband simply stepped over me without offering any

assistance. And yes, I have even heard those gutwrenching words

from him, " Sometimes I wish I hadn't married you. " Now you see and

know all, and can please pray as God lays it upon your hearts. I am

simply not strong enough to sit at the computer any longer just now.

Jill I to find fitday hard to keep up. Journaling for me is best. I write as I go. BUT then sometimes I forget. LOL Just think you were not exercising before. You are doing great. Keep it up.

When I had dial up Fit Day was way too slow to use but now that I have a

cable modem I find it pretty efficient. It gets quicker as you get your

recent and custom foods built up to pick from. Much faster than pen and

paper for me. Just gotta do what works for you though.

30 min. 3 times a week is a good start. Just try to get consistent with

that and then build up a bit.

You gained some weight at the beginning of the year but you got right back

on track which is what's important.

Persistence, not perfection! :)

I'm happy you reached your goal, too. Just don't let it stress you out with

those long hours, and don't forget to find time to squeeze some exercise

into your now-busy days.

Robin,

This is awesome news! Not only do you have a paycheck coming in but you

have succeeded with one of your goals. So, what is your next goal?

Hopefully the luck of obtaining jobs will rub off on me. My dear Fiance

(DF) is at an interview as we speak for A.G. Ferrari Foods. I do hope

he gets it. I haven't had any luck myself.

Blessings,

-: There's much truth to the slogan, " One Day at a time " I

completely relate to being afraid about seeing people who you haven't

seen in a long time. for me, it's important to focus on other things,

like how much I know people care about me, and in your case how

wonderful it is to have a vacation!!! Good luck

focus on this week . Sometimes we get

overwhelmed when looking at the 'big picture'.

Think today I'm going to follow my menu plan, I'm

going to drink my water and I'll do whatever

exercise I can - even if it's only 5 minutes - if

you're worried about keepng up walking with the

family maybe start walking now. If you start by

walking around the block and building on that.

So make that your goal. " By December I want to be able to walk 3 miles (or

whatever amount). " Now you are in training for your event. Start counting

backwards. How many days/weeks do you have to train? How much walking can

you start with? 5 minutes? How much do you have to increase your distance

every week to be walking 3 miles by December? Make a plan. This is totally

doable. By December your endurance can be so much better than it is today

if you work at it. Plan and work hard. Think of specific places you want

to walk to. Get out travel guides if you aren't familiar with the area.

Hopefully that will motivate you to get moving! :)

Where are you going? We just got back from 9 days in the Texas Hill Country

last night. I'm kind of glad that summer is over and I can get back into a

routine. Summer has been a blast but, with too many activities, it has been

rather tiring.

This morning is meet the teacher for my kindergartener then we're meeting

friends at Chuck E. Cheese. How the heck am I going to deal with Day 1 at

The Rat????? Ugh. I don't eat as much when I'm with other people so that

will help. My friend and I will enjoy chatting while the kids play and I'll

be sipping on Diet Coke to keep me from snacking on the breadsticks.
