Guest guest
As for the comment I made on the letter for about prescription drugs,... I don't mean to make anyone feel badly about that.... If you are taking the drugs and feeling better for it, and this is allowing you to live your life more comfortably, then by all means, please don't feel bad about taking them. It is just my personal choice to forego prescription drugs. Maybe I am paranoid about them and have a huge problem with the way pharmaceutical companies gouge ill people for money. But I also do believe that they are seriously bad for the liver. After all, that is how prescription drugs work.....the dose you take is the amount needed to get past the detoxing efforts of the liver to rid your body of it. I just lean more heavily toward the idea of letting the body do the healing on its own, and using all natural, God-given plants to assist us in those efforts. So, again, I hope I didn't offend anyone or make anyone feel uncomfortable with my statement about prescription drugs, if you are dependent upon them for your comfort. Guest guest
I must say, while not offended by your comment, and we all have a right to our opinions, and yes I agree too many prescription drugs are not necesarily a good thing, for me, when I am having bad pain flares I take my vicodin and get so much relief that it is worth it, yes it is addicting and yes it has chemicals in it, but one thing people who take herbs need to realize is they are metablilized by the liver in much the same way as drugs are. They are also toxic, may herbs just because they are a plant that doesn't mean they do not have toxic components in them. SO just remember that while the prescription drugs may not be something you choose to do, I take vicodin as needed fo my pain and it really has been a godsend to me. I am feeling better since i have been taking it and much less foggy so I think we all have to weigh the pros and cons. I don't think too much of anything is good and moderation is the key. Guest guest
Hi Patty, I am not offended. We all have to weigh the situation individually. And with that in mind any information or thoughts you have is important and I'm glad you are sharing them. I have FINALLY gone off the antibiotics, which was the only thing keeping te pain away since January. Yesterday was my first day off . I was very scared as the pain had been soooo excruciating. But to my surprise it was so minimal I took nothing at all for it.So now I am also off drugs. For now anyway.Today seems as if it will be the same as yesterday, so far. So there is a positive note. Thanks
