Trudy,Can you maybe handle some soup?  Something with calories.  Don is right, I know you're not eating and  you are more than likely not getting enough fluids either.  Its hard but you have to get some calories in you.  Your body has nothing to burn if you don't feed it.

Please try...

Try to keep the fluids going in as much as possible, Trudy.

Food and rest too, but specially the water.

Your dehydrating, and thats making you feel a lot worse than you should be feeling.

Not eating isnt helping either.

Nothing new with me. Except I have been very weak all day. My abdomen and hands are pretty swollen. I can't keep any food down; it's even difficult to get water down. Just no room . I hope tonight's shot goes well. I've never been this sick before a shot. Every body take care...later.

Hey Trudy,

It's taken a few days for me to get back on here but I'm reading about the soup idea. You may remember that I was really sick last week. I made a big pot of chicken broth based soup. I put in meat, potatoes, onion, spinach, 1/2 & 1/2 and then when it was done, I just sipped the broth. You are still getting a lot of the nutrition and your tummy doesn't have to work so hard to digest. You could easily adjust it to whatever your tastes are. Just a thought.

Amazing idea Ramona!  And Trudy, that is something that the hubs can make for you too!  Soup is easy and then you can just heat some up whenever you want some and it counts as a liquid too!  The half and half is great but if you can't handle the dairy, just leave it out.

Trudy,

I hope you don't mind me jumping in, but I was terrible sick with my sides, and the only I could handle getting down the hatch was vanilla ice cream. Reasoning was - I couldn't handle smells of food cooking, it made me sick to my tummy, also my taste buds had changed, everything sorta tasted like metal - I know that sounds weird but it did.

The ice cream was cold, basically ordorless, and cold going down.

It saved me many a times...

Hope you get to feeling better,

May God bless you,

Trudy, she's right..  my hubs just told me yesterday that vanilla ice cream was one of my food groups on treatment...  I don't remember that at all.  He said he gave it to me daily and sometimes even sprinkled protein powder on it and covered that up with whipped cream... sneaky little devil!

The ice cream was cold, basically ordorless, and cold going down.

It saved me many a times...

Hope you get to feeling better,

May God bless you,

Trudy, Can you maybe handle some soup?  Something with calories.  Don is right, I know you're not eating and  you are more than likely not getting enough fluids either.  Its hard but you have to get some calories in you.  Your body has nothing to burn if you don't feed it.

Please try...

Hi Trudy

I am sorry your feeling so bad right at shot time.

I am sending you a nuclear blast of love, no sides, and lotsa good energy.

Try to keep the fluids going in as much as possible, Trudy.

Food and rest too, but specially the water.

Your dehydrating, and thats making you feel a lot worse than you should be feeling.

Not eating isnt helping either.

I know your trying to do the best that you can.

I wish that I was there to help you.

We are all here for you Trudy, blasting away.

Nothing new with me. Except I have been very weak all day. My abdomen and hands are pretty swollen. I can't keep any food down; it's even difficult to get water down. Just no room . I hope tonight's shot goes well. I've never been this sick before a shot.
