Guest guest
I am so glad I am not the only one here who eats this way. SuziQ, thanks for the link to 's blog. I took a quick look and I like what I see. I will be spending some time reading him when I can. That one article gives me hope that I am doing the right thing. I hear you on the changing times and theories, and yes, I remember when breast milk was considered vastly inferior to formula. What were they thinking?! Sherry, I am a little familiar with Dr. Bernstein...I used to get some great recipes from his forum and I have read some of the book he has online. Trying to get control of my cravings and my ridiculous appetite was why I started increasing my fat intake a year or so ago, because even eating low carb I was hungry way too often. So do you know if you're going to change up the way you are eating, or are you going to continue with Bernstein's way? It seems to me that blood sugar control would trump anything else as long as you (we) are not experiencing any bad effects from eating a higher fat diet. I just started getting nervous that maybe there were going to be bad effects that I wouldn't recognize until it was too late, and I so badly don't want to make things worse on my poor liver. I want to go back to the good ol' days when I thought I knew it all and never had any doubts about what I was doing! Robin > > Hi Robin.... > this is exactly what Bernstein recommends for keeping tight blood sugar control...<very> low carb, mod protein and high or mod fat. SuziQ...it's pretty much a reincarnation of Atkins and lots of folks on the lowcarb diabetes lists are doing Atkins. It works for me because it removes the craving for carbs and the 24/7 out of control appetite. > > I really hated the idea of having to switch due to the HCV...I don't want to be causing further damage unnecessarily to the my liver. This is why I find the article SuziQ posted by so hopeful. He's basically describing the type of diet that works for blood sugar control AND HCV. Amazing. > > I feel better already. Maybve I'm cured???? Hahahahaha > Sherry
