Hi Margaret,

Thanks for detailing Garreth's reading. I am certain moving doesn't help. Zeb

is thrown off if he has a sub for a day. It's great that Garreth can use the

whole language to read at that level. I didn't think that Zeb understood the

phonics initially but I explained that every letter has a sound to help figure

out the word and he is catching on to that concept. How is Garreth feeling?

Margaret had her surgery today, I assume. The site of Haddassah Hospital in Isreal that we are supposed to be able to send a greeting through won't accept my greeting.....so I have no way to be in contact with her.

Big hugs from me too, Margaret. You have been through it. My mother in law will be gone one year Saturday. Man, has it been a year already? We still miss her. I have had a burglary before and it does feel like a rape, so horribly scary. I'm praying that the thieves get caught. Feel free to vent anytime, as we are here to listen. I think it helps to talk things out sometimes even if it is off topic a little. Take care, Salem Saglime <salem3p@...> wrote:

Hi Everyone,

Stress does cause many changes to the body. It can cause that, what you call "fight or flight reaction" This sends out some kind of hormone or something. Also weather and full moons cause problems. Yes, even full moons. They did research on it. I am so sorry things have been so sad for you Margaret. The part about your friend was so sad. Was he/she having some bad times? Health or emotional? A friend of my husbands from work last year shot himself because his wife was leaving him and taking the kids with her. He couldn't take it. He wasn't even 40. It was really horrible on his kids. Are you a journalist? Maybe you could write an article about your senior program and ask for some proceeds to help fund it.

I am so sorry about your house. That is so wrong. These thieves have no conscience. It is the new me-me attitude in todays society. They want "their share" and think they deserve and should be handed it on a silver platter. They don't want to work for it but will take it away from hard-working families. Sure if they are caught they may spend a little time in jail but that does not in most cases return precious heirlooms and return the money that the victims will still be without. They should do a very strict boot camp thing like they do with teens sometime and have the thief on a strict work permit to pay back his victims. The amount they owe the victim should set the time served. Do you think it would work? My Grandma went thru being robbed and she felt so violated, almost like a rape. It took her awhile to not be afraid.

Jail time doesn't work unless they have mandatory programs of rehabilitation. Right???

I hope they didn't get any precious heirlooms. Those things insurance can not ever replace. I am so sorry for what you are going thru. I am sending you a BBBBBIIIIGGGGG hug!

Hi MargaretI am so sorry to hear about what a difficult time you have had of late, please have an internet hug from me, you do deserve it. I do think you are right that you can trigger the arthritis with stress, it kind of makes sense really.... stress = low resistance = flare upsWe all react differently to different situations, every time I have surgery (20 odd times now) I always come out in strange rashes.Take care Margaret, and I hope you can make time to relax a little by yourself.Lots of Lovejane - in Wales UK> > Send instant messages to your online friends http://au.messenger.

Starter pots should be similar to what you brew in. I use 1 gallon Anchor

Hocking cookie jars for my starter pots with paper towel or muslin covers.

The starter pot container really needs to be glass because the

acidity is so high.

is best.

Are you sure it is not carpel tunnel

jerflo13@... Margaret

My family doctor and I know that I have fibromyalgia, but the rheumatologist he sent me to disagrees. Every time I've talked with someone that has it, they agree that I do have it. It is horrible! I assume by your question that you do. Am I right? I understand how bad you feel. Joan

My back actually felt better right away, although I had complications with post surgical pain meds. I had 3 bad discs (disks?) removed and the spinal stenosis from L4-S-1 "rebuilt." Although I still have some pain, it is so much better than it used to be. I was ready to try anything after epidurals didn't work. I keep myself walking every other day and thank God I had a good neurosurgeon.

Now, 4 months later, they discovered "moderately severe" congenital spinal stenosis also in my cervical spine. As my pain management Dr. says, if you turn off the TV, you can hear the radio! I now have the difficult decision to make about surgery again because epidurals did nothing. Does anyone on the list have ideas about what to do about the pain down your arms and into your hands?

Is there anyone on the list who also has fibromyalgia?

I am sure it isn't carpal tunnel because I recently had an MRI and my neurosurgeon reviewed it with me and explained that it was congenital (at birth) stenosis in the cervical area. There was very little spinal fluid from C-3 to T-1. Maybe that's why the epidurals didn't work. It is almost the same as the lumbar was. The pain starts at the base of the neck and travels over the shoulder, down the arms and into the thumb, radiating into the rest of the hand. Also in a V shape in the back.

Having surgery again is not going to happen right now. Moderately severe isn't severe severe, right??? The lumbar is still healing.

I wish all of you readers the best as you deal with doctors and your own special pain.

Yes, Marg, I would love to hear your test results which you could send me

privately. Hopefully this is for a Saliva Test because blood testing for

hormones is NOT ACCURATE.

I took A TINY BIT of a Pregnenolone cream for 6 weeks and my test showed it

put ALL MY HORMONES way too high, so now I'm rethinking what to do.

will let you know, but just pre-testing, want to mention I've been feeling

best I've ever felt.......everything in me seems in balance......for the

hormones, I was taking bioidentical, stopped many months ago, was nervous

about stopping---stopped because of cash flow........I started subbing with

some herbal black cohosh---seems to be working fine with the 50 mg.

pregnenolone taken 25 mg. 2x day.........my hair, skin, energy are very

healthy.......will let you know.....

Margaret you WILL feel FINE even when your hormones are totally out of

balance. HOWEVER, you need to know that Pregnenolone can affect ALL your

hormones.

Perhaps you already knew that because I think you also belong to the HHN

group, right?

Most people seem hesitant to PAY FOR Saliva Tests but they are crucial to

your well being.

For less than 2 months, I used 1/2 mg. (only) of Pregnenolone cream and then

did another saliva test and was SHOCKED to see that my Progesterone which

should have been around 50 was over 800 and Testosterone was also over the

limit, which affected Estradiol as well.

Just trying to make you aware, that FEELING GOOD has nothing to do with your

hormone levels.
